I need help with the footer.
The footer on the Rings page isn't on full width unlike the other pages. Why is this?

@phoenix-burn also as per UX I'd give the image some kind of box-shadow on hover, so that a user has a visual feedback when overing over a product
something like:

@Nishanth-S col-md-4 class is specific to BS 3.3.7. are you loading BS3 or BS4? in BS3 there is no class row-eq-height as far as i know

It looks like they might have changed the attributes of them, considering the use of the grid, but it looks like they are still supported?

@karinafarina look at the example they gave you. They want you to use destructuring on the left, not right
Right now, you're assigning arr a value of [1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10]

@gishy1 - you have at least one problem - you are using the variable size to increment your variable i, which will tell you where to start the slice, but you are also changing size as you go along. You should make a variable end or something like that, and use that for the slice end value.

@gishy1 - in other words, make a variable var end = size; and initialize it with the size, then use it in the arr.slice(i, end); and afterward end += size; (don't change the size variable's value as you go along.)

destructuring is when you use an object or array structure on the left to extract pieces of an object
like const [a, b] = [1, 2] is the same as const a = 1; const b = 2;
or the problem you did before where
const string = 'hello';
const { length } = string; // same as const length = string.length;

@gishy1 - yes - it is a variable that you are going to use in a similar manner as the variable i that you declared, so it should be initialized before you begin your loop.

have they changed the javascript basics that much in the freeCodeCamp Beta? It looks like a lot of the lessons are still there. It would be interesting to see what they changed, if anything significant.
I agree with you @kbaig , that knowing the basic javascript language would be an important prerequisite to getting into the ES6 new features.

the beta site has a basics section as well
it's just that karinafarina said a couple days ago that they tried ES5 and struggled so they moved on to ES6

I'm trying to build a transparent box in the middle of my screen that will be about 10% opaque, just so you can see it. Then I want to build box for the info to display for the weather app. How do I do this?

@MWBauer - you should be able to do that, for sure... use rgba colors for the background color and set the opacity (the 4th argument in the rgba parameters) to a value like 0.1 or 0.2.

@MWBauer - you would need a class "transbox", for sure. That would have to be a class on a div, and it would apply the class to <p> elements within that div.

@MWBauer - I think that the opacity is also affecting the text in your box. Try using the rgba color settings for the background, and forget about opacity for the div.transbox p

if you want to use the same bootstrap features you learned in the lessons, use bootstrap 3
if you'd like to learn a whole new version, give bootstrap 4 a try
