Where's the right place to ask for user feedback?
As in, a sort of user response to the style of a project.

Can someone please help me with bootstrapping, when I'm looking my page on mobile images are not in order like I would like them to be, 6 of them are in 3 rows and 3 are as they should be one below another what I did wrong?

Nov 29 2017 13:56
@MegJulliet No comma just put both classes in the same string separated by a space "text-center text-primary"
@amaranthaST You are using col-xs-6 which means on small devices the divs are 1/2 the screen width, so it puts two columns.
Change the col-xs-12 so small screens will be one column
Stephen James
@sjames1958gm
Nov 29 2017 14:01
@amaranthaST You will need to adjust with col-xs-offset-? to get them in the center

So quick question how do I give the variable “myCar” a nick name
Stephen James
@sjames1958gm
Nov 29 2017 19:10
@KidKris You are giving the object referenced by the variable a new property nickname
so you assign a new property - here using dot notation
Darren
@DarrenfJ
Nov 29 2017 19:10
@KidKris in what sense? Is my car an object?
yah as @sjames1958gm said if it's an object you have to add it.. there's a few ways but the exercise is expecting a specific way (like he said.. via dot notation)
KidKris
@KidKris
Nov 29 2017 19:12
I figured it out it was the same as doing the myCar.turboType = “twin”; but they hadn’t described it as being quite the same

it's one of those things in js that i always forget.. you can set a variable to an object. I keep forgetting (specially when moving into ajax and working with JSON, or node modules too gah!) that the variable can pull out all kinds of information burried inside the object...
must.think.in.terms.of.objects lol!

@DarrenfJ Not to be pedantic (ok I love to be pedantic) you set a variable to a reference to an object.
Darren
@DarrenfJ
Nov 29 2017 19:36
pedantic's good. I am way too loosey goosey about how i describe stuff. part of why I'm forcing myself to re-go over a bunch of CSS and redid then new release in Codecademy of js and html..
Part of it is to get really good at CSS but the second part is to learn how to explain exactly what i'm doing..

your code is a mess. dont mix things in style with those outside of style
better reset and do it again , if needed

hey guys, can you help me adjust the axes? Kinda confused https://codepen.io/artbohr/pen/MOPmRr
I need to extend the axes and add months instead of numbers on the Y axis and get the X axis down a bit or maybe I should change all the elements inside which is data bound? Not sure how to fix it
artbohr
@artbohr
Nov 29 2017 22:24
Fixed some stuff, but I still need to make ticks with no Y axis maybe? or extend the Y axis and place the ticks in the middle of the lines and maybe reduce the spacing between elements, any recommendations/help?
damn, my d3 skills are so bad xD
artbohr
@artbohr
Nov 29 2017 22:31
Ok, now I just need to expand my Y scale to fit the data, what's wrong with my code to do that?
Darren
@DarrenfJ
Nov 29 2017 23:12
@michael-andreuzza in the <style> section it should refer to p. but you have it as P. (no capital needed here)
P{
     font-size: 16px;
     font-size: Monospace;
}
@michael-andreuzza also, you should have only 1 style section.. with a <style> at the top of it and a </style> at the bottom so if you have 2 </styles> you need to put all the CSS syntax stuff up within the top style section
@michael-andreuzza i think you have some messy cut and paste here that's doing it:
<p>Purr jump eat the grass rip the couch scratched sunbathe, shed everywhere rip the couch sleep in the sink fluffy fur catnip scratched.</p>yle>
     .red-text {
     color: red;
     }
     P{
         font-size: 16px;
         font-size: Monospace;
     }
</style>
the back end of the top line is half of a <style> tag crammed beside a </p>
</p>yle>
