@IsaakNazar If you do some more research into the seller, you'll actually notice that he has no positive feedbacks as a seller and a bunch of "bot feedbacks" as a buyer. IE: Pretty much all the feedbacks are the same strings of texts. That should be enough red flags, ghehe

@mandeephub Did you check your devtools network tab to see if it is trying to load the file and getting an error?

Failed to load resource: net::ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND here is the error in console

@mandeephub
You should be able to load the image using a direct URL in the address bar of your browser
http://host/assets/conbg.jpg if not then you have the path incorrect

@1LifeLess What do you mean CSS webkit - these are two separate tools. webkit can process and bundle CSS using loaders or plugins for transforming the likes of sass to css

@sjames1958gm

  -webkit-column-count: 3;

where all these -webkit- css coming from, how it all started

@1LifeLess Sorry - I read webkit as webpack - my bad
Better answer
Before a css property becomes standard in the browser, each browser will prefix the properties with a string
Android: -webkit-
Chrome: -webkit-
Firefox: -moz-
Internet Explorer: -ms-
iOS: -webkit-
Opera: -o-
Safari: -webkit-
Here is a blog https://www.lifewire.com/css-vendor-prefixes-3466867
The term you needed was vendor prefixing

@mandeephub u cant use local path ie: pointing to u hard drive (cuz this will work only on ur pc, and not when u publish ur web live/online)
u need to use url web address absolute (full) or relative address
IF ur relative address dont work.. check if ur assets folder is on same level as ur index.html

window.onload = A(); var B; function A(){ B = document.getElementById('some_div'); } console.log(B);

console.log is showing null for B. Why is that?

window.onload = A();
var B;
function A(){
B = document.getElementById('some_div');
 }
console.log(B);
Moisés Man
@moigithub
May 27 2018 19:22
cuz onload needs to hold a function.. not the result of that function...
remove () from A() @martok22
Martín González
@martok22
May 27 2018 20:12
right, but if I remove the parenthesis it returns undefined.
window.onload = A;
console.log(B) outputs 'undefined'. I'm assuming it should be returning an object type.

@martok22 - perhaps you've solved this by now, but I think that you are on the right track with the parentheses on the A() - the way I see it working (and it works if I put that JS code in a CodePen pen and make a div with the id of some_div) - it will print the HTML for the div in the console, and if I don't put the parens on the initial window.onload = A; then it prints undefined. Here is a link to the pen I made .
