Hello, isn't there any HTML only code for clearing the previous word typed in an HTML input form? Do I have to use necessarily JS ?
Smootimus
@Smootimus
Jun 03 2018 10:18
Not really. I mean can be done through attributes like <input type="text" onfocus="this.value=''"

I've being looking for a way to do pop ups other then bootstrap, i just found out you can do it with pure CSS >.< is it nessary to switch to one or the other method?

Jun 03 2018 12:18
@Dimitrios51 If you submit the form to the backend then the page will refresh and clear all the inputs.
@PeterWebDev There could be reasons, if you don't want to load another library like bootstrap, if you want more control over the styling, etc

@hensn5250 For github logins use: https://www.freecodecamp.org/deprecated-signin
hensn5250
@hensn5250
Jun 03 2018 16:37
@gulsvi that's where I am stuck
it's says that my email is already associated with another account, the email thats used on my github
Gulsvi
@gulsvi
Jun 03 2018 16:38
I had the same problem because I started with the previous login type. I logged in with that other email and deleted the account, used the deprecated login, and then everything worked fine
Presumably, at some point, you used your github email to log in rather than going through the deprecated signin process

@gulsvi If i use a new email will my old content be available?
Gulsvi
@gulsvi
Jun 03 2018 16:51
@hensn5250 I think it should be fine - it's tied to your github authentication. They just need an email to associate with your account from now on because github isn't supported any more.
hensn5250
@hensn5250
Jun 03 2018 16:57

Jun 03 2018 17:10
@gulsvi Yes but I'm highly disappointed
I only had 1 more project left for frontend certificate, looks like now I have to do several others. I'm even sure which are mandatory and which are optional.
I thought they where going to keep the old structure for those that were close to finishing. Well, at least the challenges I completed are still there. Some people in the forum have said they ended up losing their progress when they logged in which is why I was a bit hesitant.

i was being deliberately vague - because you didn't give any context with your problem

its been awhile
had a question
say you have this array
[[0, 1, 1, 2],
[0, 5, 0, 0],
[2, 0, 3, 3]]
[[0, 1, 1, 2],
          [0, 5, 0, 0],
          [2, 0, 3, 3]]
how would you turned the element in the row below into the same as above?
example i have 0 0 2
how would i turn the 2 into 0?
Tom
@moT01
Jun 03 2018 20:18
you can set it to 0 like this... if that variable is named arr - you can use arr[2][0] = 0
gishy1
@gishy1
Jun 03 2018 20:18
i did and it was giving me an error
Tom
@moT01
Jun 03 2018 20:19
or if you want to set it to the row above - you could use arr[2][0] = arr[1][0]
i think that would work
gishy1
@gishy1
Jun 03 2018 20:19
i tried
basically i did
Tom

Jun 03 2018 20:20
its on code fights though, is that ok?
    var count = 0;

    for(var i  = 0; i < matrix.length ;i++){
for(var j =0; j < matrix[i].length ; j++){
    if( matrix[i][j] == 0) {
matrix[i+1][j] = 0 ;
    }
}
    }
 return matrix;
}
Tom
@moT01
Jun 03 2018 20:21
@AnkurSharma102 im sorry too - i wanted to help - but nobody can help when you don't ask a good question - so i get a little frustrated

Jun 03 2018 20:23
its from when you get to the last array in your variable
when you go through it - you try to then set matrix[i+1][j]
which doesnt exist when you're going through the last array
which is why you get that it's undefined
gishy1
@gishy1
Jun 03 2018 20:25
so what should i do in that case ?
Tom
@moT01
Jun 03 2018 20:26
i would not go through the last array
gishy1
@gishy1
Jun 03 2018 20:27
Im not fully getting you
Tom
@moT01
Jun 03 2018 20:28
let me try better...
with the i loop...
you go through each array
first [0, 1, 1, 2]
then [0, 5, 0, 0]
and last [2, 0, 3, 3]
when you go through the last one.. you try to assign values to places that don't exist - matrix[i+1]
if you are going through the last array there - matrix[i+1] doesn't exist
gishy1
@gishy1
Jun 03 2018 20:30
yes...
Tom
@moT01
Jun 03 2018 20:30
so I would skip going through the last array
gishy1
@gishy1
Jun 03 2018 20:31
yes..
Tom
@moT01
Jun 03 2018 20:32
so how can we skip it
so you want to go through all the arrays except the last one
gishy1
@gishy1
Jun 03 2018 20:35
agreed
Tom
@moT01
Jun 03 2018 20:42
so any ideas how to do that?
gishy1
@gishy1
Jun 03 2018 20:44
hold on
i think an if statement below
or included in that one above
