@coderkarma lets say your icons in a div.container then to center it write .container {text-align: center}
Karma Drukpa
@coderkarma
Jun 06 2018 02:00

@IsaakNazar :wave:
have you fixed your recursive fetching?
Nazar
@IsaakNazar
Jun 06 2018 02:48
@Marmiz :wave: , actually that was quite easy, I've completed my project, used node-fetch and inquirer packages, today I gotta send it to the company , thanks for your support :+1:
Claudio Restifo
@Marmiz
Jun 06 2018 02:49
@IsaakNazar were not a clause to not use external packages?
Nazar
@IsaakNazar
Jun 06 2018 02:50
@Marmiz actually, I emailed to the company, and thee sent me text , that I can use node'js and npm, so
@Marmiz but do you think I could make it without npm packages?
Claudio Restifo
@Marmiz
Jun 06 2018 02:54
@IsaakNazar yes, but would have take it a lot more effort. The purpose of those packages are to avoid reinventing the wheel every time you have to do something :)
If you want to add some extra touch, give chalk a try! Color the output in the terminal :)

Im using /(\d+)\s\1\s\1/, and I have tested in Atom and it is correct
however Im getting "Your regex should not match "42 42 42 42"."
also logging the test returns true, so there is definetely a bug
Claudio Restifo
@Marmiz
Jun 06 2018 03:19
@IgorSilveira00 your regex is matching that, since it contains 42 repeated 3 times, but should not give a match since there's a 4th there :)

to match numbers that are repeated only three times in a string

at least that's what I get from the challenge

Igor Silveira
@IgorSilveira00
Jun 06 2018 03:20
how do I indicate that it should stop at three?
Claudio Restifo
@Marmiz
Jun 06 2018 03:20
that's what you have to figure it out :)
Igor Silveira
@IgorSilveira00

Finally over it xD @Marmiz but thanks (Y)
Claudio Restifo
@Marmiz
Jun 06 2018 03:25
:smile:
there were a lesson with positive lookahead before?
or quantifiers? that's how I'd do it
Igor Silveira
@IgorSilveira00
Jun 06 2018 03:27
I solved it with the start and end notations
Claudio Restifo
@Marmiz
Jun 06 2018 03:34

@IgorSilveira00 It will work in this test cases, but probably will fail for more edges cases eg:

52 42 42 42

You want a match :)

Hello everyody I have a wsite where the user logged in before having access to others pages. I want to know if it's possile to hash the password of my admin in the php, echo it then i will know the password hash and then store it in the database. ecause only the admin can add user in the database and when he add it, those passwords will be hash. And what i don't want all the passwords in my user table to be hashed expect the admin one. Do you think that my solution is correct ? If no what would you suggest me to do. Thanks for the help/advice .

hi everybody. Now the new FCC curriculum is massive!!!! but I have some worries. Unlike before once we are done with the front-end we will be awarded a certificate. But this time around does the previous condition hold? Or do we need to complete everything in this new curriculum to qualify for a certificate?

@AnmolSoni - what have you tried so far on this challenge?
AnmolSoni
@AnmolSoni
Jun 06 2018 14:17

var collectionCopy = JSON.parse(JSON.stringify(collection));

// Only change code below this line
function updateRecords(id, prop, value) {
if (prop != "tracks" && value != "") {
collection[id].album = value;
}
if (prop == "tracks" && collection[id].tracks == undefined) {
collection[id].tracks = [];
collection[id].tracks.push(value);
}
if (prop == "tracks" && value != "") {
collection[id].tracks.push(value);
}
if (value == "") {
delete collection[id].prop;
}

return collection;
}

// Alter values below to test your code
updateRecords(5439, "artist", "ABBA");

@khaduch how to return entire collection object ?
Ken Haduch
@khaduch
Jun 06 2018 14:24
@AnmolSoni - what you are doing with return collection; should do it. What it looks like you are doing incorrectly from what I see is when you are doing this collection[id].album = value; - what is "album" in that case? There shouldn't be any time when you are specifically calling out .album - unless you checked to see if prop in your function args contained the string "album". That is one problem. I see another one, at least - when you are trying to delete a property from the object as you are doing with delete collection[id].prop; - using .prop there is not correct. It seems that you haven't completely grasped the use of a variable that contains a property name, and in that case you have to use bracket notation instead of dot notation. You are correctly doing this for the id - when you do collection[id]. But when you are trying to use prop to access a property, instead of doing .prop, you should be using [prop]
AnmolSoni
@AnmolSoni
Jun 06 2018 14:42
i am agree with this mistake -> delete collection[id].prop;
In the question/description they have clearly specifeid about propery album not about artist If prop isn't "tracks" and value isn't empty (""), update or set the value for that record album's property.
i.e. why I wrote -> collection[id].album = value;

how to check my output for each function callling
I mean how to print modified collection object @khaduch
Ken Haduch
@khaduch
Jun 06 2018 15:02

@AnmolSoni - regarding the use of .album - if the property name is not "tracks" there is either "album" or "artist". And you can see that they use both in the test cases.

You can try console.log(collection); to see if that outputs the object to the console. Sometimes it will write [Object object] (and I haven't figure out the exact cases). You can always do console.log(JSON.stringify(collection)); which will put the object out in JSON format, which isn't quite as easy to read, but it does show the data.
