hi anybody knows how to fix the cross origin error in codesandbox?
Christopher McCormack
@cmccormack
Feb 08 15:54
probably not an error @rubendmatos1985 it's usually a policy of the server you are trying to hit
the API may support JSONP or the option to pass a different origin value
for example wikipedia allows you to add something like &origin=* to the query parameters to make cross-origin requests

thanks but could you be more specific?

@cmccormack it work for chrome to?
Christopher McCormack
@cmccormack
Feb 08 15:56
@rubendmatos1985 I wasn't giving you a solution - you will have to read the API documentation regarding Cross-origin or CORS requests

@cmccormack yes thanks

Feb 08 15:56
Which API are you using?
Ruben Dario
@rubendmatos1985
Feb 08 15:57
I am not using any API. I am trying to post a project in codesandbox
and in my local environment works perfectly but in codesabdbox don't
it's a simple tetris game without api calls

Christopher McCormack

Feb 08 16:19
@rubendmatos1985 where are you pulling from a CDN?
Ruben Dario
@rubendmatos1985
Feb 08 16:20
@cmccormack i don't know cause codesandbox has this per default
Christopher McCormack
@cmccormack
Feb 08 16:21
Codesandbox should have these packages cached locally, your sandbox shouldn't be reaching out to any other sites unless you have a script tag or something in your code
I'm not sure what the issue is yet sorry - maybe try eliminating code until you can isolate it

i am watching in chrome the http response and i have installed two addons from chrome
ok
Christopher McCormack
@cmccormack
Feb 08 16:22
But you're watching your session with codesandbox, odds are that isn't at all related to the error you are seeing in your sandbox though
Ruben Dario

if i start a project with codesanbox i don't have probles
problems
but i just want to post it to show this game but it's impossible

@rubendmatos1985 Can you try hosting this on something like Heroku or Glitch instead? If you have your project on github it should be pretty easy

if (searchString == "")
What does that mean?
Christopher McCormack
@cmccormack
Feb 08 17:02
@Jim7894 searchString will be loosely compared to the empty string ""
that expression will return true if searchString is "", false, or 0 and maybe other falsey values

hi y'all
good evening, can some one help me? i´m stuck in a project of mine. I'm making a scoreboard for my son's team, and now when i click the start button for the timer, it desappears... can some one have a look? i've tried everything and i cant figure it out... :(
psyperl
@psyperl
Feb 08 18:56
maybe because the button is inside the 'timer' div ? so when your code updating it's content it removes the button
