Mafalda
@otmeek
no, I'm getting the exact same problem as before, it just outputs nothing

   ""                                  !=    "CHANGELOG.md"
                                       !=    "README.md"
                                       !=    ""
I'm supposed to be getting the output on the right
but it's just not printing anything to console
Chris Dziewa
@chrisdziewa
what is the name of that one again
Mafalda
@otmeek
make it modular
on learnyounode
Chris Dziewa
@chrisdziewa
ok so based on the error you are getting, your module should be fine
your main file is the problem
let me take a closer look
Moisés Man
@moigithub
@chrisdziewa without pressing any button.. ur code should be running or something?? nothing shows on my screen.. my internet been sooooooooooo laggy today :(
and if i open devtools.. lot and lot of warnings are poping...
Chris Dziewa
@chrisdziewa
@moigithub on its own yeah
@otmeek you put your loop and log statement in the if (err) block
Mafalda
@otmeek
@chrisdziewa no, it's outside the if block. There's no curly braces so only the first line executes. I've changed it to the following but I still get the same problem
var mymodule = require('./module.js');

var path = process.argv[2];
var ext = process.arv[3];
var files = mymodule(path, ext, function(err, data) {
    if(err) {
        console.log("There has been an error.");
    }
    for(var j = 0; j < files.length; j++) {
        console.log(files[j]);
    }

});
Chris Dziewa
@chrisdziewa
ah that's right sorry I never skip the braces
Mafalda
@otmeek
@chrisdziewa I usually never do either, trying to get used to it :)
Moisés Man
@moigithub
mutating the [[Prototype]] of an object will cause your code to run very slowly; instead create the object with the correct initial [[Prototype]] value using Object.create index.html:78
TypeError: Object.assign is not a function
Chris Dziewa
@chrisdziewa
@moigithub huh???
lol
Moisés Man
@moigithub
not sure what that means :) didnt see any code like that @chrisdziewa
Chris Dziewa
@chrisdziewa
I mean I have an Object assign but I think it is doing what it's supposed to
Moisés Man
@moigithub
let squareStyle = Object.assign({}, backgroundStyle, { probably this ?? what if u comment out?
Chris Dziewa
@chrisdziewa
it's es6
Moisés Man
@moigithub
ok
Chris Dziewa
@chrisdziewa
it's running fine for me ha
Moisés Man
@moigithub
or probably is my old browser :) (iceweasel)
Chris Dziewa
@chrisdziewa
how about now?
PenguinOfTheSky
@PenguinOfTheSky
any word on when chrome's getting es6 imports?
Moisés Man
@moigithub
yea i see the squares moving now.. no more warnings on console
Chris Dziewa
@chrisdziewa
@moigithub look at me adding support for older browsers haha
I am Josh.
@notarypublic
anyone do the mongo challenges yet?
Chris Dziewa
@chrisdziewa
@notarypublic yeah
I am Josh.
@notarypublic
they want you to work with everything on c9.io... not sure how to install mongo there
wait.. guess it's preinstalled
nvm
Chris Dziewa
@chrisdziewa
yeah it is
I did it on my computer I think
I tried c9 for a bit on the git challenges and said nope
I am Josh.
@notarypublic
it's a great tool, but their free account is not very beefy
Chris Dziewa
@chrisdziewa
ha yeah
I am Josh.
@notarypublic
i keep bouncing between wanting to learn mean stack and wanting to use meteor
Chris Dziewa
@chrisdziewa
I just like my own development environment.
@notarypublic try both
I am Josh.
@notarypublic
angular-meteor, yeah
Chris Dziewa
@chrisdziewa
make an app with mean and then meteor
I am Josh.
@notarypublic
that's the idea ^^
Chris Dziewa
@chrisdziewa
then you might not leave meteor from what I've heard ha
I am Josh.
@notarypublic
have you tried it?
