Question about the github readme? I read about github flavored markdown and I am trying to use it in my readme - When I look at the readme on github.com it is just displaying the chars, not displaying it as markdown - what am I doing wrong?

@lisacopeland Is your readme file with .md extension?

yes - when I go to github it just displays the '#' character and not the string in H1 style

Hello,
does anyone know why the following code isn't working?

I can't understand to me it seems like I did everything like in the instrcitons.
Here's the fcc challenge I mean:
https://learn.freecodecamp.org/front-end-libraries/sass/use-each-to-map-over-items-in-a-list

<style type='text/sass'>

  div {
    height: 200px;
    width: 200px;
    @each $color-bg in blue, black, red {
      .#{$color-bg}-bg {background-color: $color-bg;}
    }
  }
</style>

<div class="blue-bg"></div>
<div class="black-bg"></div>
<div class="red-bg"></div>

i think the exercise is asking you to define the background colors outside of the div tag
