Does somebody know why I am getting my string inversed in the calculator text-box? If I set this outside the text box, in a div for instance it shows it the correct way.
http://codepen.io/DiazPedroAbel/pen/pgRXWv?editors=1010
Someone (I cannot remember who and I cannot see previous mentions :S) told me that I have to treat op similar way as current, but I don't see how to do it, in fact, I thought I was treating both similar way by adding them to the string. eval() works perfect so...
h4r1m4u
@h4r1m4u
@Abel1987 it's because of direction: rtl;on .calculator input[type='text'] in your CSS. 'rtl' stand for right to left. instead, use text-align: right;
Pedro Abel Díaz Sánchez
@coderHook
@h4r1m4u thats it... I copy that calculator to just get into programming it, and I guess it has this kind of inconvenients. I was looking at the html and on the javascript trying to fixt it but forget about css. Thanks a lot @h4r1m4u .

@Spacecortez
Hi, does anyone know why the carousel my page won't animate/respond? http://codepen.io/spacecortez/pen/dGLpbq?editors=1100
h4r1m4u
@h4r1m4u
@Spacecortez you forgot to import jquery and bootstrap.js into your project
Max
@Spacecortez
I quick added bootstrap in the CSS section settings, shouldn't that work?
h4r1m4u
@h4r1m4u
nope. that's just the CSS library that's part of bootstrap
Max
@Spacecortez
ohh
it's fixed, thanks :D

Sorry guys, today I know I am tremendously annoying, but I cannot fix those litle things.

http://codepen.io/DiazPedroAbel/pen/pgRXWv

I want to put a background in my calculator webpage, so I change it from the body background but it makes something weird. Looks like its broken in 3 pieces or rows...

greg
@wearenotgroot
@Abel1987 add no-reapeat fixed
h4r1m4u
@h4r1m4u
also, you're setting the same background for both body and html. set it only for one of the elements
Pedro Abel Díaz Sánchez
@coderHook
Thanks @wearenotgroot That's kind of weird because I tried this before, I mean, I put fixed no-repeat; and didn't work

Thanks a lot, by the way, I am trying to move the calcultor to the bottom but setting in the calculator class align="bottom" or right does not work. Any idea? @wearenotgroot

@pringon
@Abel1987 try something like margin-top: xpx; or margin-bottom: -xpx; the align only works for center left and right as far as i know
Pedro Abel Díaz Sánchez
@coderHook
@pringon umm, is not what exactly I was looking for because If the screen is smaller the calculator gets out of it.
Goje Samuel Andrei Daniel
@pringon
then you could try using percentages
instead of pixels
not sure how well it works for height
but for width it works perfectly
yep
it should work
tried it on mine
i used a margin-top of about 27 percent
you can play around with it until it works for you

Hey, guys! Can enyone help me to figure out with some incomprehensible part of inheritance in javasript?
I have a Vehicle base class
and child Car class
var Car = (function (parent) {
Car.prototype = new Vehicle();
Car.prototype.constructor = Car;
function Car(year, make, model) {
parent.call(this, year, make, model);
this.wheelQuantity = 4;
}Car.prototype.getInfo = function () {
return 'Vehicle Type: Car ' + parent.prototype.getInfo.call(this);
return Car;
})(Vehicle);
why we use that "Car.prototype.constructor = Car;"
If it works whithout that expression?
Pedro Abel Díaz Sánchez
@coderHook
Thanks @pringon thats better :)

@rusaym When you call new Vehicle, the constructor of car will actually lead to Vehicle, which people think means 'was constructed by'. It actually doesn't mean that at all. Prototypal inheritance is a complicated concept, and is very different to class based inheritance. I recommend reading this free book for a great explanation:

https://github.com/getify/You-Dont-Know-JS/tree/master/this%20%26%20object%20prototypes

But regarding your question, you don't need to include that line at all for what you are doing.

Hi
When working on the Weather project, codepen doesn't prompt me for geolocation permissions and am unable to display anything. Anyone faced the same problem?
