@karolinaKluz - I think that you would have to watch the input and know which characters were being repeated (that shouldn't be accepted) and just discard the newest one, only keep the first, and then maybe even change it, if they entered - and then + - should it be subtraction or addition?
@twoBrokenThumbs - make sure your divs are properly closed. Do you want to post a link to it, we can check?
@Neotriz - I like the look of your calculator, by the way...
well, if anyone has a minute could you take a look at my random quote generator? :D I believe it's done! It's the first project that I can put on my portfolio haha so I want to see if there's any suggestions on what I can improve on it?
On the side the note, I was not aware that JS had a String.eval() . That would made my code so much easier...
@Neotriz - you probably want to check it before you echo the character to the output - you don't want to have ----- in the display, so that would be a better time to check?
yeah that would make more sense rather than the user have to find out later that the input operation was incorrect
Hey everyone. I already submitted my weather app, and I went to go style it but when I clicked on the codepen link to my profile, I got a 404 error. Then I clicked on my pens, and got the same error. I was able to go through recent to find it, but then it didn't work. I havent' changed any of the code that I submitted, and when I submitted it, it was fully functional. Does it work for any of you guys? http://codepen.io/CameronBurkholder/pen/mEegGq
"nothing to show yet"... @Cameron-Burkholder
@aidansven Hi Ethan. Really cool quote generator! I would only change one thing. Can you make the button stay fixed in a place regardless of how many lines a quote has? I think it's better UX if I don't have to chase the button. ;)
the whole page is loading for me, just not the weather
@aidansven - great looking quote app! Some of the lighter colors are a little hard on the eyes, maybe reversing the color setup to put a dark quote box on the light background would help that? But it's not too bad of an effect anyway. Nice work!
@karolinaKluz ah yes..! good point! ;) thank you

Let me know if there any other improvements I should make. CSS handling, format, etc
hey guys, how do i put the project-text up higher so that it aligns with the picture. Seems like a div fault to me but commenting out the the sapce between project-img and project-text hasnt worked. neither did it setting the height of project-text: http://codepen.io/Juw3lstar/pen/pbgMyL
how do i find the documentation for the bootstrap on codepen?
Im doing the first project but do now understand how I am supposed to determine the classes?
@Ethanlchandler you should've learned to documentation in the tuorial: container-fluid, primary-text etc.
@khaduch Thanks...I figured I'd double check since you said it. Apparently I accidentally deleted the closing ">" on my image. Strange that it still worked depending on the placement in the page. I appreciate it!

@twoBrokenThumbs - oh, great! I wonder if that's a function of how browsers handle broken HTML? They seem to usually do a fairly good job of getting what you mean, anyway... but I suppose that has its limits.
@khaduch Yeah, I think the fact that is worked one way but not the other was what confused me the most. Broken is broken. But if it sometimes works then that's puzzling.
thanks @Belax8 , still not sure how one is supposed to learn all of the classes. I come from a networking background and I am still confused how one is supposed to know all of the possible classes with bootstrap without some form of 'cheatsheet'

@Ethanlchandler THIS. This is exactly where I am at. Overall I understand html and css. But learning Bootstrap is tough because everything I want to do is a search "do this in bootstrap" or me simply opening bootstrap up in notepad++ and scrolling through to discover stuff. It would be so much easier with a cheatsheet.
I hope to soon be able to memorize the big ones but I would love a quick search option that isnt google! haha @twoBrokenThumbs
