Luke
@lukede
Do I just copy and paste code?
Bruce Young
@mutantspore
@lukede body { padding-bottom: 50px; }
Luke
@lukede
@mutantspore thank you. Would that go in my CSS?

This works, but when I click on a navbar link to go to a section within the page, it cuts off the top part. line up. I'm thinking I create a CSS class that adjusts the links 50px too.
Tyler Moeller
@TylerMoeller

@lukede The bootstrap docs say to use:

body {
  padding-top: 70px;
}

https://getbootstrap.com/components/#navbar-fixed-top

This may also be helpful for the link issue you're referring to: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/13555709/how-do-i-offset-where-my-fixed-nav-bar-takes-me

Would someone take a look at my tribute page and give me some feedback? http://codepen.io/triggerdaley/pen/bZWQJL
Luke
@lukede
@TylerMoeller Thanks. This link looks to address the navbar links linking to part of the page that cuts off top 50px

Does everyone have this problem that tries to create a page based off the Portfolio example? It seems like a silly problem
for a navbar
Susan
@tmmggmmdld
@himuraTV I think you are distracted by the <a href. Try taking that part out.
Luke
@lukede
@TylerMoeller Yep, that link's suggestion did the trick. Thanks

Michael Bomholt
@bomholtm

the code is messy and not finished at the moment though
Greg Duncan
@GregatGit
@bomholt in .card
  margin: 0 auto
  margin-top: 20%
@bomholt to get lat and long in chrome try http://ip-api.com/json as a url in getJSON
Michael Bomholt

@buiphuking

someone plz explain me this code

function seek(event){
        if(seeking){
          seekslider.value = event.clientX - seekslider.offsetLeft;
          seekto = audio.duration * (seekslider.value /100);
          audio.currentTime = seekto;
        }
      }

result is drag music

Michael Bomholt
@bomholtm
@GregatGit you are using chrome right? i read about having problems on chrome without https on reddit
Greg Duncan
@GregatGit
@bomholt yes. But it's working fine with https
Michael Bomholt
@bomholtm
do you know how to center it vertically on large displays? ... just started working on the responsiveness
freaking tired though
Greg Duncan
@GregatGit
@bomholt I have found this page pretty valuble for centering https://www.w3.org/Style/Examples/007/center.en.html

@tmmggmmdld liked your tribute page. Looks pretty clean and I actually learned a little on the history of knitting that I didn't know.
Thank you for sharing it @tmmggmmdld

Anyone ever have trouble with reset or normalize in codepen? When I go to the settings for CSS in a pen and choose reset, it doesn't see to change anything. It only seems to reset if I add the reset code to the CSS section myself.
Daniel Cartín
@Danielcv93
wanna take a look for some feedback?
I'll be really thankfull

Greg Duncan
@GregatGit
@sdday81 do you have a run button? If so you can remove that in the settings under behaviour
