Peter Kenward
@PeterKenward
@CarlosFerrerCeldran maybe that's only needed when you have some javascript?
PeterKenward @PeterKenward isn't sure
Carlos
@CarlosFerrerCeldran

Hey Evan I'm not sure if you can nest a button inside an anchor element. Check out this link http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6393827/can-i-nest-a-button-element-inside-an-a-using-html5

@sethun60
It is not returning the desired output "pony" when gift is passed
Tyler Moeller
@TylerMoeller
@sethun60 bracket notation is required when using variables: return myObj[checkProp] should work.

Idowu Wasiu
@Hoxtygen
hi guys
how y'all doing
needs some help with javascript
anyone to help?
Sonya Chan
@cysonya
@Hoxtygen sure, what do you need help on?
Idowu Wasiu
@Hoxtygen
If computerChoice is between 0 and 0.33, make computerChoice equal to "rock". @cysonya
Sonya Chan
@cysonya
@Hoxtygen what do you have so far?
Idowu Wasiu
@Hoxtygen
@cysonya how do you write that code using math.random() in javascriipt
@cysonya the question is to make the computer bahave in a manner if a number is chosen betwwn two extremes
@cysonya like make the computer behave this way if the user choses a number between 1 and 4
Sonya Chan
@cysonya
@Hoxtygen I think I understand your question, what do you have coded so far?
Idowu Wasiu
@Hoxtygen
@cysonya

@cysonya var userChoice = prompt("Do you choose rock, paper or scissors?");
var computerChoice = Math.random();

if (computerChoice = Math.random(0, 0.33)) { computerChoice = "rock";
} else if (computerChoice = Math.random(0.34, 0.66)) {
computerChoice = "paper";
} else (computerChoice = Math.random(0.67, 1)){
computerChoice = "scissors";

}
@cysonya iis that readable? i just copy and pasted it from the editor i'm using
Sonya Chan
@cysonya
So you already set computerChoice to = Math.random(), at that point computerChoice equals to something between 0 and 1. In your if statement you don't need to set it to Math.random() again
Idowu Wasiu
@Hoxtygen
@cysonya okay. so i should remove all instance of the math.random from the conditional statement? and what else?
Sonya Chan
@cysonya
Also to check if computerChoice is between 0 and 0.33, you would need to use comparison operators which are (<, >, <=, >= etc..)
Idowu Wasiu
@Hoxtygen
@cysonya i initially used =< but then it doesnt make sense to me
Sonya Chan
@cysonya
@Hoxtygen what are you confused about? :P
Idowu Wasiu
@Hoxtygen
@cysonya not really sure if its the right operator to use
@cysonya lest i forget i should thank you for your time

@cysonya
Hmm, ok let's check if computerChoice is between 0 and 0.33 first. How do you think you can check for that?
