Hi guys, please help me look at this, the navbar is overflowing to the jumbotron, what could be wrong here? http://codepen.io/limanCode/pen/XKBNgg
any body here?
Gary Siu
@GarySiu
@limanCode I don’t get the same problem as you?
Or you fixed it already
Ken Haduch
@khaduch

@limanCode - if you are using navbar-fixed-top (or were using it) you have to add some margin-top to the body element so that the page content shifts down. I added that class (you might have had it and removed it?, navbar-fixed-top) and then added this to the CSS:

body {
  margin-top: 120px;
}

If you make your navbar shorter, then you can use a smaller margin-top. That nav class padding that you are adding is making the navbar extra tall.

function myLocalScope() {
  'use strict';

  console.log(myVar);
}
myLocalScope();

// Run and check the console
// myVar is not defined outside of myLocalScope

// Now remove the console log line to pass the test
i removed the console long line...now what to do?
I pressed run but the program wont work.
Never mind I figured it out.

@jianninetorres
it's working on codepen, but not in atom
Gary Siu
@GarySiu
Atom has a previewer?
Jiannine Torres
@jianninetorres
I mean, when I open the index file in chrome
Gary Siu
@GarySiu
Any errors in the console?
Jiannine Torres
@jianninetorres
yes, it keeps saying FILE NOT FOUND
Gary Siu
@GarySiu
Well did you change the relative links like the ones to Bootstrap?
Jiannine Torres
@jianninetorres
it works in codepen though
Gary Siu
@GarySiu
Codepen has the files on their server but you probably don’t have them on your machine
Are you just visiting the file directly? (file://) or are you serving it locally from a webserver?
Jiannine Torres
@jianninetorres
in the console it returns GET file://cdn.apixu.com/weather/64x64/day/116.png net::ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND
how do I access it from the server?
Gary Siu
@GarySiu
Change the url to start with http:// or just //
But if you do // you need to serve the file from a webserver
Jiannine Torres
@jianninetorres
it's coming from an API
John Doe
@codingisfun11
// Example
var changed = 0;

function change(num) {
  return (num + 5) / 3;
}

changed = change(10);

// Setup
var processed = 0;

function processArg(num) {
  return (num + 3) / 5;
}

// Only change code below this line
  var processed = 2;

  function processArg(7) {
    return (num + 3) / 5;
    }
