@Ryanwfile
@Radascript The code you posted with the (idx +1) is working very well, that's exactly what it needed
Rada
@Radascript
@Ryanwfile awesome happy to help!

@dhcodes
@majedmahmood27 up to you, but I think most people make separate sections (divs). It's your portfolio though so you can make it whatever you want as long as you complete the user stories

@cityproject
hello
I'm trying to implement this http://foxandxss.github.io/angular-toastr/ when user is successfully logged in,
could anyone help me out how i can do that?
this is the live site : http://192.241.153.25:8000/
max77p
@max77p
have a general question regarding margins on my twitch app pen
can anyone explain why for class all (.all) margin-bottom anything below 7em has no effect?
Mark
@cityproject
did you set position: absolute? @max77p
max77p
@max77p
@cityproject no did not do that...i get it would affect it if i do that
but what is causing it from not moving for anything below 7 though?
@cityproject and i am noticing a correlation between margin-top and margin-bottom...if i increase the margin-top then i have to increase the margin-bottom by certain amount to get it to work
what is the calculation that is going on?
Mark
@cityproject
I'm not quite sure if I'm following you
are you saying that the .all doesn't have lower margin below 7.em?
max77p
@max77p
@cityproject have you got my pen open? can explain it through there
Mark
@cityproject
i have it opened.
but,
max77p
@max77p
@cityproject ```
.all{
margin-right:1.1em;
margin-top:.6em;
margin-bottom:7em;
}
Mark
@cityproject
i assume it's not working because there are contents inside the div
max77p
@max77p
so if i change margin-bottom to 6em, there is no effect
Mark
@cityproject
look at that .container
you have title, and so on
max77p
@max77p
right
@cityproject so you are saying those add to the margin?
Mark
@cityproject
if you want it to work the way it's supposed to be,
you should rather consider giving negative margin to the bottom
using .container
not .all
max77p
@max77p
is there way i can calculate what amount i should put in margin, given whatever is in container?
Mark
@cityproject
im not sure.
max77p
@max77p
because i am finding myself guessing the numbers using trial and error for most part
Mark
@cityproject
the javascript you are using seems complex, yet you don't know css?
how long has it been since you started studying web?
(just asking)
max77p
@max77p
@cityproject haha yea...this has been one of the issues ive been trying to fix with my learning...i have been working with margins and stuff almost by trial and error. I know how relative and absolute etc all work, but in terms of figuring out what amount to put in margin/padding to push something to correct position
Mark
@cityproject
it happened to me quite a lot.
when i was making money creating CMS themes.
max77p
@max77p
@cityproject like i know if a container is 100%...and i have one element floating left at 30%..then i should put the 2nd element floating to right at 70%
but it gets complicated for me when i am working with em and % together
not sure how to tackle that stuff
properly
Mark
@cityproject
maybe you should read a book about 'responsive design'
i think somewhere in the book taught me how to deal with all those things.
but there's no better way to learn than trying yourself i guess
