@NitinNair89
Even the parameters for the URL is mentioned. So please read it once carefully.
Gaston Kirsman
@gastikirs
@NitinNair89 Do you know why the 'F' is not aligned with the temperature?
I wrote display inline-block,but doesnt work..
Nitin Chandran Nair
@NitinNair89
@TheGr8Lemmoncawl some API only needs the 'base' URL (like the one you used before) and some API need extra details. So for Forismatic, along with the base URL, they need few more parameters from the caller to ensure the service (here quotes) is provided correctly. :)
j1417
@j1417
hi!! how can i set the width of the background grey to full??http://codepen.io/Juan1417/pen/BLrjOY
Nitin Chandran Nair
@NitinNair89
@gastikirs it is not detecting location (I am using phone) so I don't know where the 'F' is being displayed currently. Have you tried vertical-align: middle;
Gaston Kirsman
@gastikirs
@NitinNair89 Doesnt work vertical-align: middle;
Nitin Chandran Nair
@NitinNair89
Can u send screenshot?
Just wanna see how it looks..
@j1417 I don't see background color or image when I run your pen.. :(
Gaston Kirsman
@gastikirs
j1417
@j1417
in the portfolio section no???' @NitinNair89
Sorin Ruse
@sorinr
@j1417 this is what you want? portfolio
j1417
@j1417
@sorinr no..i want grey in all the portfolio section
Nitin Chandran Nair
@NitinNair89
@gastikirs the image loaded now. Lol. Let me check your code
j1417
@j1417
i want grey there too http://postimg.org/image/xiopw56vr/
i want to extend the width of the portfolio section
Nitin Chandran Nair
@NitinNair89
@gastikirs it is because of the <h2> and the image being beside each other. Heading tags have their own padding and margin properties. Try to reduce padding for the 'F'
@j1417 tried width:100% for portfolio?
j1417
@j1417
@NitinNair89 it works only when i reduce the window size
Michael Davis
@mhdavis
Hey can someone help me with my getPicture method on my local weather app?
Nitin Chandran Nair
@NitinNair89
Wrap a <section> outside your portfolio. If you're using bootstrap then the section should be outside the row.
Sorin Ruse
@sorinr
@j1417 then get out ur div #row1 out of the jubotron
j1417
@j1417
@sorinr but i want that the row1 to take the width of the jumbotron
Nitin Chandran Nair
@NitinNair89
@j1417 the container class will add padding to left as well as right side to elements within it.
Sorin Ruse
@sorinr
@j1417 and u want the outer space to have the same bg color as the #row1 div?
Nitin Chandran Nair
@NitinNair89
As I has said that day, use jumbotron only for the image and tagline.
*as I had
@j1417
@mhdavis does the console disolalay for getpic function display values for your variables properly?
Sorin Ruse
@sorinr
@j1417 div#row1 already have the jumbotron width as it is inside of it. if u want it same width as container-fluid you have to move it out of jumbotron
Michael Davis
@mhdavis
@NitinNair89 it says cannot read object 'weather'
Nitin Chandran Nair
@NitinNair89
@mhdavis Ok then display the data parameter first inside that function
Probably something wrong with the dot notation
j1417
@j1417
@sorinr yes but when i increase the window size the row1 reduces its width...
Michael Davis
@mhdavis
yea lemme chick
*check
I was wondering if the logic on my switch statement was right
but let me address that bug first
Gaston Kirsman
@gastikirs
@NitinNair89 Tried to reduce padding but still doesnt work
Nitin Chandran Nair
@NitinNair89
@sorinr container-fluid still won't use 100% width. I suggest wrap a section to that portfolio row and give section bgcolor with width:100%
@j1417 you haven't used all the necessary classes to make tour website responsive on all screens. :)
j1417
@j1417
what another classes do i need?? @NitinNair89
Nitin Chandran Nair
@NitinNair89
@gastikirs can use a normal span tag and increase fontsize?
For complete responsiveness you need col-xs-(extra small), col-sm-(small), col-md-(medium) and col-lg-(large) classes. So all elements that you wish to be displayed properly without any padding or margin issues should have these classes.
Gaston Kirsman
@gastikirs
@NitinNair89 I reseted the padding all to 0px and worked
@NitinNair89 Ty ::)
