Trying to unshift an input value to an array using this code. Any ideas why it doesn't work?
  $("button").click(function() {
    website += website.unshift($("input").val());
    console.log(website);
  });
website is the name of the array
OH really?! That's good to know. But it doesn't solve the entire problem unfortunately.
Micah Lewis
@EastML
?
Chandrahas P
@Chan11
@EastML if u'r trying to unshift value to array,this should definitely work becoz it works
website += website.unshift($("input").val());
website.unshift($("input").val());
Micah Lewis
@EastML
Nah, I keep getting the error that website.unshift is not a function
Chandrahas P
@Chan11
@EastML so,website is not an array. unshift method works on arrays
Micah Lewis
@EastML
var website = ["scarra", "animeilluminati", "finestKO", "freecodecamp", "asfadflk"];
Chandrahas P
@Chan11
@EastML
var website = ["scarra", "animeilluminati", "finestKO", "freecodecamp", "asfadflk"];
website.unshift("Hello");
console.log(website);
//[ 'Hello', 'scarra','animeilluminati','finestKO','freecodecamp', 'asfadflk' ]
Micah Lewis
@EastML
then the problem is with the input call
I just tried it and it works if I put in a simple string
Micah Lewis
@EastML
to reference an input value I would use $("input").val(), right?
NVM I FOUND THE PROBLEM

Hello,
I can't seem to get bootstrap grid layout working.
<div class="row">
<div class="col-md-6">
<div class="well">
</div>
</div>
<div class="col-md-6">
<div class="well">
</div>
</div>
</div>
thats my code but the 'wells' keep stacking on top of each other rather than being 2 separate columns
does anyone see what's wrong? thanks
joshandevera
@joshandevera
any suggestions to make it more responsive especially the about and portfolio section?
Micah Lewis
@EastML
Hey Josh, I just checked it. Do you have bootstrap enabled on whatever you're working on?
I just tried it and it works fine.
using the code you posted
joshandevera
@joshandevera
@josh have you tries seperating them in two different divs?
Micah Lewis
@EastML
tries?
I copy your costed and posted it into one of my pens with bootstrap enabled and the worked perfectly
two separate divs
joshandevera
@joshandevera
@EastML yeah i have but the placeholder images go out of the background when i resize the browser to mobile size
Josh
@joshfilippi
im using codepen and have bootstrap enabled..
Clyde Lobo
@oppiniated
@joshfilippi link?
Micah Lewis
@EastML
oops there are two josh's here
I was talking to @joshfilippi , sorry.
joshandevera
@joshandevera
oh
its all in a container div
Micah Lewis
@EastML
Looks fine to me
Josh
@joshfilippi
yes but the wells stack on top of each other.. id rather have in the same row
can't seem to get it
Micah Lewis
@EastML
clear your cache
Clyde Lobo
@oppiniated
@joshfilippi looks fine on desktop. It stacks for smaller view
Micah Lewis
@EastML
aaaah, it's on the smaller views, you're right
change md to xs
i believe inheritance goes upward on bootstrap grid sizes, so if you set two columns in xs size, they will inherit that property all the way up to md and lg and beyond
Clyde Lobo
@oppiniated
Yup, @EastML
Josh
@joshfilippi
working!
Clyde Lobo
@oppiniated
col-xs- applied to all
