So i'm doing an api call in JSON and I'm pulling the api reference from an array. The user has the ability to add values to the array, but the unshifted values don't appear in the json output. Any reason why?

I'm doing the twitch API, and I want to add an input that let's the user type in a stream name and it will show if it's online or not with a list of other streams. I made an input form that will add the stream name to the list of streams to check, but when I add the name and click the button to trigger the event, it doesn't give the output.
