hey guys, I have an issue. When I use links to refere to sections within my html code, the section title remains behind my navbar (navbar-fixed-top). What would be the proper fix for this?

@huutan806
I don't know why everything was locating in the center

@kirbyedy is this a div property?
alpox
@alpox

@huutan806 I would not use the center tag since you cannot go sure, that its supported. Its deprecated and as w3school says (http://www.w3schools.com/Tags/tag_center.asp):

The <center> tag is not supported in HTML5. Use CSS instead.

instead, use css. text-align: center as example. (You may have to set the image to display: inline

Can i do this?

<a class = "navbar-brand" href="#">Title</a>

can't seem to edit it's font size

Francois van Leersum
@Blockshot12
@markygan123 Yes you can!
But you can also give it your own css class.

@Mr-Kumar-Abhishek Hey there, you may want to make the link open in a new tab :D
Alexandros Andreou
@alex10791

@kirbyedy I don't see how this would help.
I found this:

var shiftWindow = function() { scrollBy(0, -50) };
window.addEventListener("hashchange", shiftWindow);
function load() { if (window.location.hash) shiftWindow(); }

but I was hoping I could find a pure html/css solution, I wanted to avoid js for now

@Mr-Kumar-Abhishek google css reset. I use it in all my web sites to reset CSS.

@Mr-Kumar-Abhishek
@UncleJohn418 doesn't normalize.css does the same thing ?
alpox
@alpox
@alex10791 Not sure if there is one. If i had a codepen link i could maybe try out. Did you try to transform your whole content down with transform: translateY(50px)?
(Whole content except the nav)

@UncleJohn418
@Mr-Kumar-Abhishek I'm not sure I don't know normalize, but I will check it out.
