This basically tells it...if the scren is extra small, use the entire row, or if it's medium, use just 4 out of the 12 possible columns

@c0d0er2 www.w3schools.com/bootstrap/bootstrap_grid_basic.asp

That should clarify things for you

Also, since you're using bootstrap, remember to give each image a class of 'img-responsive' so that they size well when expanding and collapsing
cheers buds!

hey guys im having a weird issue, wondering why this function isn't getting called on mouseclick.... here is my code..
let handlers =  {

  onTileClick() {
    this.animateTiles();
  },

  animateTiles(e) {
    const tile = e.target;
    // add playing class to animate the tile
    tile.classList.add("playing");
    // play audio on click
    const audio = tile.children[0];
    // reset audio play on each click
    audio.currentTime = 0;
    audio.play();
    // remove playing class to maintain original state
    tile.addEventListener("transitionend", () => { tile.classList.remove("playing"); });
  }
};

document.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded', function() {
  const tiles = document.querySelectorAll('button.quarter').forEach(tile => tile.addEventListener('click', handlers.onTileClick));

});
and here is the error message
Uncaught TypeError: this.animateTiles is not a function

I don't even know where to begin with my next challenege. It's building a personal portfolio page. The tribute page alone took me a long time. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Jack Lyons
@JackEdwardLyons
hey @kilocycle how about searching a nice template to copy/emulate?
google "bootstrap website themes"
just to get an idea
Matt Richards
@mattjrichards
@JackEdwardLyons Quincy doesn't want us to look at the code of examples. I can't do it though without. I just don't have the experience. It's so unbelievably frustrating. I will Google "bootstrap website themes."
Jack Lyons
@JackEdwardLyons
no not code examples
theme examples
dont look at the code
look at the themes @kilocycle
and think about what elements you like
Matt Richards
@mattjrichards
I can't figure out how to code it though without looking at how someone has done it before. It's just way too hard. I was getting nowhere with the tribute page until I looked at how others were coding theirs.
Matt Richards
@mattjrichards
...I finished the tribute page, but it's not really as good as I wanted it to be. But I wanted to submit it because it was taking forever to complete. I need more practice. Really frustrated right now. @JackEdwardLyons thank you

Hey guys! So, I'm trying to figure out how to fulfill the user story of "navigate to different sections of the webpage by clicking buttons in the navigation". I have buttons, but I have no idea what to do with them. I don't even know how to google this

@JackEdwardLyons
want me to take a look @kilocycle ?

hey @quackidy google anchor tags and href
Tom
@moT01
should work
@kilocycle nothing wrong with finishing up and moving on, ...as you go on to other projects you will learn more, and can go back and more easily make things better and more how you want them
also nothing wrong with looking at other code to help yourself learn

@DanJP2016
can anybody recommend a good book on JSON and using API's ?

@DanJP2016
Matt Richards
@mattjrichards
@quackidy very nice, although I don't have enough experience in coding to tell you anything more in that respect.
Tom
@moT01
@quackidy looks good
Daniel
@DanJP2016
@moT01 good idea, there is one but I don't think it covers using API's
