Took me probably about 2 hours @afc9996.
Tom
@moT01
@dsteven12 video works for me
Brandon Armstrong
@calmcoolcollected
@dsteven12 The padding in your h3 element at the bottom is blocking the video.

@dsteven12
I scratched my old tribute page though @afc9996 and redid it. This is my first time through.
Brandon Armstrong
@calmcoolcollected
@dsteven12 Try margin-top instead of padding-top.
Nice job by the way.
@dsteven12 Works for me now.

Does anyone know how to create a new directory via a button such as you click a button then it takes you from home '/' to '/1' or '/2' if 1 has been created??
Bikal Khawas
@bikalkhawas
Yay finally! local weather app finished. http://codepen.io/bikal/pen/egRorN
JD Tadlock
@jdtdesigns
@Samwise12 Are you talking about the url route?
@bikalkhawas Good job!
Bikal Khawas
@bikalkhawas

Sam
@Samwise12
@jdtdesigns yes the url route
JD Tadlock
@jdtdesigns
@Samwise12 On codepen, you'd have to some tricky code to do it from scratch
That kind of thing is handled easily on a server for different html files
for a more complex routing setup, you'd use a framework
Tyler Moeller
@TylerMoeller

@dsteven12 If you're trying to center it, just use the 'center-block' class:

<div class="row">
  <iframe id="themusk" class="center-block" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/IgKWPdJWuBQ" width="360" height="230" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen??autoplay=1></iframe>
</div>

If you want to make it responsive, check out: http://getbootstrap.com/components/#responsive-embed

Sam
@Samwise12
@jdtdesigns so lets say I create an array using a submit form via react, then I want that array to be pushed to mongodb then I want to be sent to the new link created such as /1 where i can view that array
i figured out how to do the mongodb parts i just need to figure out how to create new pages via a button
JD Tadlock
@jdtdesigns
@Samwise12 In react you'd just create a route with a wildcard like '/projects/{id}'
and the wildcard would be the id of the current project clicked
then in the single view /project/2, you'd access the request params which would contain the id '2'
and use that to grab that single project from mongo
Sam
@Samwise12
How do I go about creating the route though I think you have to use react-router + express
JD Tadlock
@jdtdesigns
i'm not up on my react at this time lol
i'm all about Vuejs right now
i can look it up and get back with ya in a min
all the frameworks work in the same sorta fashion
they have a router that handles url routing/passing data and such
h1tag
@h1tag
@jdtdesigns do you remember what I asked about yesterday?
JD Tadlock
@jdtdesigns
@fortMaximus you'll have to refresh my memory
h1tag
@h1tag
@jdtdesigns I asked about how to create html elements using jQuery for the WikiViewer project and you gave me a solution to clear the output first and then iterate through the object and append each value from the object
JD Tadlock
@jdtdesigns
ah, right
h1tag
@h1tag
I want to ask about iterating through the object
JD Tadlock
@jdtdesigns
ok, what's your issue?
h1tag
@h1tag
which method do I use to iterate? because "for...in loop" iterates in an arbitrary order
JD Tadlock
@jdtdesigns
@fortMaximus There's many ways to do it depending on the situation
are you asking how to retrieve the data from the wikipedia response?
h1tag
@h1tag
no, i'm asking about which iterating method to use
JD Tadlock
@jdtdesigns
for in would work fine or jQuery .each() or you could get a little more advanced with .map()
h1tag
@h1tag
@jdtdesigns but I'm not sure which one to use because "for in" iterates over the properties of the object in an arbitrary order and I don't want that because I want the links to the wiki pages to display on the page in order
Michael J Kusdya
@michael-kusdya
