the other way is to find an quote API which gives you a random quote and then display it on the page. This was not covered but you can search the internet for examples

Hey guys!! I have been stuck on centering an image on top of an image using flexbox. Could anyone please help me? It's beginning to drive me nuts.
kirbyedy
@kirbyedy

<div class="flex two-video center">
<!-- <a href="//www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSGBVzeBUbk" data-lity> -->
<div class="">
<img class="" src="Demo.png">
<img class="play-button" src="play.png" alt="">
</div>
<!-- </a> -->
</div>
It may be easier to send you to the github file I created?
kirbyedy
@kirbyedy
I thought you have it on codepen :D
Janina Pohorecki
@janepohorecka
@kirbyedy I enjoy using github more.
Its the big orange play button. It should lay right on top of the image but idk what I am doing wrong not to make ithappen

@h1tag
@IanMacMillan good catch. I was going to suggest that but i forgot. Good luck! :smile:
kirbyedy
@kirbyedy
@janepohorecka this might help: http://jsfiddle.net/shodaburp/9nEua/
so I think you should use absolut positioning to get that button where you want over the image

@IanMacMillan
@fortMaximus I used to be a software engineer many many years ago (specialist operating systems and stuff)...but missed out on the whole web dev thing....so FreeCodeCamp is taking me back and forward at the same time. :smile:
Janina Pohorecki
@janepohorecka
@kirbyedy In that example they knew exactly what the parameters were.. In mine, I dont have set sizes
h1tag
@h1tag
@IanMacMillan You should've mentioned that before :smile: :P I thought you're still a beginner.

I see the object in the console
Sorin Ruse
@sorinr
@meli94 there is nothing wrong with ur ajax call. to see that its working just make $('#stream').html(data.stream.channel.game); but it will work only for the online channels
Meli94
@meli94
oh really?
great! thank you!
@kirbyedy @fortMaximus @sorinr
Sorin Ruse
@sorinr
@meli94 so, you will have to write some if logic in there to distinguish between online and offline channels. the console.log(data) will help you see the response object structure both cases online or offline

@Imaginativeone
hi
where can I look for node help?
Sorin Ruse
@sorinr
just ask in here for what help do u need
Doug Franklin
@Imaginativeone
I've set up a package.json, tsconfig.json, and a systemjs.config.js
when I do npm install
I get an error:
network tunneling socket could not be established, cause=connect ECONNREFUSED 127.0.0.1:80
Sorin Ruse
@sorinr
@Imaginativeone npm install its always looking for package.json. the tsconfig.json and the others don't matter for npm

Has anyone been having issues where the cursor won't allow you to click where you want in the tutorial part of the browser? I have tried chrome/firefox/IE and same result. Then when I get the cursor where I want it, it skips down one line when I start typing.
kirbyedy
@kirbyedy
known issue

@khepf
I have a workaround. If I place the cursor and press spacebar, it skips down one line and then at that point I can place the cursor where I want to. Just curious if anyone else was having this same issue.

@darrenho97
can someone review my wikipedia project? :)
kirbyedy
@kirbyedy
@darrenho97 cosmetically I would push the whole thing a bit down, also try to stretch the background image to the whole page (hint: use cover)
