Hi folks! I’ve been trying to learn a little about charts in ChartJS. Specifically, I want to add a linear gradient to a line chart. I found a few working examples using ChartJS v1.2, but the library is now on ChartJS v2.4. So I adapted those examples making sure only to change the most necessary information for the new API, and I just cannot figure out why I’m not able to show a gradient. The v1 API is not different in this regard from the v2 API (neither one explicitly offers the ability).
Hi, I am doing the twitch.tv challenge and I am getting strange behavior. I am just pulling a single piece of information and displaying it in the console. sometimes it works fine and sometimes it doesn't work at all, even though the code remains unchanged. I am also getting a lot of "too much recursion errors" in the firefox console. Can you see what is wrong with it? http://codepen.io/achudoz/pen/VPoyEM?editors=1011
and now I am getting "getPreventDefault()is obsolete. Rather use defaultPrevented." I am not using that at all. That is just weird. all these random errors. Maybe it has nothing to do with my code inside codepen but rather with codepen itself.
@Yoerivw yeah but it was because they started to use ID keys. I got the key so that should not be a problem. Also most of the time I am getting the data. It's just that sometimes the call just does not go through or something. eh I will just try to fiddle with it and it will work properly eventually :D
make sure your codepen link starts with https:// so you wont run into mixed content error
@Yoerivw but thanks for looking at it
achudoz sends brownie points to @yoerivw :sparkles:  :sparkles:
then it will work
@khaduch I am using ubuntu/firefox combo which tends to be much more buggy than any Windows/iOS combos. I closed most of other open tabs including some other pens and the errors seemed to stop in the last few minutes. Maybe there was some interference or something. This gitter chat is giving me console errors now to, but works just fine. Thanks for checking. It is probably time to think about at least dual boot with windows. I just love the idea of free open source OS too much to not be at least using it despite it's many bugs and other things that come with it. Thank you for looking at it!

@zhuwei12 no, it doesn't work for me too. I was using this API too and got it to work by clearing cache with each call.
I ended up using a different API, but I will try to remember what I used to fixt it
@achudoz - I like the idea of free and open source, too - it's always good to have it in your arsenal of tools. Good luck with the project!
yea I'm trapped in this problem for a long time.I feel so bad... @achudoz
@zhuwei12 - sometimes you have to disable caching for some of these projects - there is a way to set it up, depends on how you're calling this. I'm going to look at your project, too, and see what might help?
