@h1tag
right click > inspect element
this one is in the CSS code
Ene Catalin
@EneCatalin
omg
h1tag
@h1tag
lol
Ene Catalin
@EneCatalin
I can't believe it, it was there, in a link form
I tried to look at it that way but didn't think of looking trough the code in the down part thingy
gulptech
@gulptech
in chrome…inspect, then go sources..
Ene Catalin
@EneCatalin
I was just looking at the page structure and going wtf...
h1tag
@h1tag
inspect element, shows the code for that specific element
it's good to learn the browser developer tools
Ene Catalin
@EneCatalin
yeah, I actually feel retarded sometimes, took me about 2 days before I noticed how to look at variable values in js console
Jordy
@JordyDew
@fortMaximus sorry, but I had some problems with my computer! I am back now!
I added the link, and how can I put the content in the middle columns, like you said?
maxblanch
@maxblanch
Hey guys, here's my first front-end basic projet. Feel free to comment ! http://codepen.io/maxblanch/full/bqJBJJ/
h1tag
@h1tag
@JordyDew remember when you told me before about the remaining free columns would be an empty space
James Dimitrakopoulos
@JamesDimi
Guys need help
why wont my col offset -4 like i write ?
Gulsvi
@gulsvi
@maxblanch Nice job. The col-xs class doesn't exist in Bootstrap 4, change col-xs-12 to col-12. You may also want to reduce the font size of "Musk's Acheivements" so it fits better on smaller screens. (and fix the spelling :))
h1tag
@h1tag
so you will have to create an equal empty space around the elements (equal number of free columns to the right and left of the elements) @JordyDew
Jordy
@JordyDew
@fortMaximus I don't understand it anymore. normally, I added all the code to one large column, but the timeline is a row of 12 columns wide...
Gulsvi
@gulsvi
Jordy
@JordyDew
@fortMaximus I haven't seen your message! I try it immediately!
James Dimitrakopoulos
@JamesDimi
@SkyCoder01 lol never noticed codepen changed from bootsrap 3 to 4
@SkyCoder01 thanks a lot :)

maxblanch
@maxblanch
@SkyCoder01 Oups for the spelling ! I don't like the headings h1 to h6. So I found the display-1 to 4 class on bootstrap 4. font-weight is smaller
Gulsvi
@gulsvi
@JamesDimi Oh yeah,lol, you could also change to bootstrap 3 :)
James Dimitrakopoulos
@JamesDimi
@SkyCoder01 what do you think is better? Keep 3 or starting to get used to 4?
Gulsvi
@gulsvi
@JamesDimi It's probably good to learn bootstrap 4, but don't get comfortable with the class names. They may change again when they release the beta
James Dimitrakopoulos
@JamesDimi
@SkyCoder01 ok gonna try it , thanks a lot~

Gulsvi
@gulsvi
@maxblanch You could also maybe check out Media Queries in CSS. It will let you choose the font size based on the width of the screen: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/Media_Queries/Using_media_queries
Ene Catalin
@EneCatalin
oh another quick one, does the default bootstrap navbar come with a margin ?
Gulsvi
@gulsvi
@EneCatalin I think there's a small bottom margin, but nothing on left-right-top
(for bootstrap 3 anyway :p)
KatSaldivar
@KatSaldivar
@sonjaSch How do you make only the bg transparent?
Ene Catalin
@EneCatalin
right, thanks, that explains it
h1tag
@h1tag
@SkyCoder01 Hey!
gulptech
@gulptech
i don’t think bootstrap4 has any bottom margin
Gulsvi
@gulsvi
Hi @fortMaximus :) how are you today?
@EneCatalin none on bootstrap 4 either. https://v4-alpha.getbootstrap.com/examples/navbars/
h1tag
@h1tag

Gulsvi
@gulsvi
It depends on the navbar type - some have a bottom margin
Doing okay. Thanks! Just waking up @fortMaximus :coffee:
