@MatLang
Hey guys, currently working on the Build a tribute page. (https://codepen.io/ltcMatt/pen/wewvwO) I want to align the two portrait pictures in such a way that the two of them are under each other, and on the right of them the text is displayed. I tried doing that with bootstrap. Can you guys please help me out how to do this? Thanks.

@alpox
@Zalmez No - it just loads the scripts in order in which they are added - first line first, second line second etc.

@Zalmez

@alpox but I thought the problem with using a for loop with async, is that the for loop won't wait for the result and will finish executing before it gets all the results, for example it will execute the code after the for loop which displays the results on the page without having the full results

@h1tag Why shouldn't it have the full results? You add the contents to the page inside of the callback - when you know that you have the data.
@h1tag The usual problem with it is just that inside of the callback, if you try to access variables you defined inside of the for loop but outside of the callback, these variables will have the state of the last iteration of the for loop instead of the value they had when the callback was called.
And this issue you can circumvent with using let

how do you make dashboard pages? is it full of ajax requests? or is it just static and you have templates like the fixed navbar or side bar

@jcunanan05 I write all my pages with clientside rendering - usually react. So i just have templating with ajax :-)

@Securiteru
Guys, can I assign a class to all images from CSS? I was thinking something like
img {
max-width: 100%;
class: img-thumbnail center-block img-responsive;
}
alpox
@alpox
@Securiteru You cannot assign classes from css - its no language which does anything else than styling
@Securiteru If you want to do that you have to use javascript
Adrian Padurean
@Securiteru
like this? $(document).ready(function(){
$("img").addClass("img-thumbnail center-block img-responsive");
});
alpox
@alpox
@Securiteru Yup :D

Jonathan Cunanan
@jcunanan05
@alpox when is the time you know while practicing js, it's time i could start writing on a framework? haha
alpox
@alpox
@jcunanan05 I guess the time you want to be more flexible when building a webpage :D
