And what about the other things, I have literally no idea haha
@MauriSg99 did you mean you wanted to fill in the white space? where the picture is?
Mauricio Salas
Exactly, it has like a padding but before I added the menu the picture covered the whole page
if you click on the white space and check you dev tools
you'll see padding in the .content{ }
in your css
@MauriSg99 background: url(images/bg.jpg) no-repeat center center fixed add this to your image
is something wrong with mu javascript?
cannot get the timer to pause when i click the circle
Mauricio Salas
@jtan3 I got rid of the padding, but I didnt understand the no-repeat..
Like this:
'background-image:url(https://images.pexels.com/photos/7369/startup-photos.jpg?w=940&h=650&auto=compress&cs=tinysrgb) no-repeat center center fixed;'
is this code correct
<ul class="nav nav-pills nav-justified">
the portfolio challenge is hard
@ACSlater8 yeah it is a bit
how far are you on it benjamin?
shivam gupta
I am trying to fetch data from dark sky api, but the ajax is not working https://codepen.io/shivamg11000/pen/KqNOjo
Hemakshi Sachdev
Hey Guys! I am finally done with my Random Quote Machine Challenge...
I would really love to hear your views/feedback... please do visit it :grinning:
@ACSlater8 well ive redone it twice, I searched into it and found some good content and now got some basics running like nav nav-pils. still floundering but I think in this environment reading and searching is important.
@hemakshis inspired
@ACSlater8 got a little stuck atm with nav justified where it just piles into one corner
@Mr-Benjamin how long have you worked on it
Guys how do I make a text be in centre?
Building my Tribute Page currently
Markus Ivancsics
@grumpycoder100 css:text-align: center
@grumpycoder100 select the element and use text-align: center
@shivamg11000 What you are doing there is no ajax at all. It would be an unfinished way of doing jsonp
@shivamg11000 does anything speak against using jquery for the request?
shivam gupta
@alpox I changed the code
@shivamg11000 It still looks like that - maybe you didn't save?
shivam gupta
@alpox now i a trying with open weather api
@shivamg11000 That won't work because the open weather api has no free plan for https - and codepen allows only https now
shivam gupta
Its working on my pc but not on codepen bcs on codepen http:// is not supported
Tring to do jsonp
@shivamg11000 yes. You cannot use open weather api
Not through codepen
@shivamg11000 If you want to go with jsonp, best is to use jquery for it - otherwise you have to do quite a setup for it

help me please! Whats wrong?
```function getForecast() {
var lat = "";
var lon = "";
if(navigator.geolocation) {
    navigator.geolocation.getCurrentPosition(function(position) {
        lat = position.coords.latitude;
        lon = position.coords.longitude;
        var linkAPI = '"https://api.darksky.net/forecast/dd5fb835130b53a3a354d5687b74f6c8/' + lat + ',' + lon + '"';
        $.getJSON(linkAPI, function(json) {
i get coords, link forms right, but i can't get json ((
@a4evo Its likely that you run into a CORS problem. Try adding ?callback=? to your url (At the end)
@alpox i love you! Thanks! It worked!!!!
