<form>
    <p>
        <label for="content">Mensagem:</label>
        <textarea id="content"></textarea>
    </p>
</form>
Why my label, here in my computer, appears below the textarea?
korzo
@korzo
@suforozinho you have to style label using CSS.
Thomas Alves
@suforozinho
so, i styled an...nothing happened
label {
    display:inline-block;
    font-size: 0.9em;
    font-weight: bold;
    width: 90px;
}

@gulsvi
@suforozinho Your CSS successfully style the label when I try it: https://s.codepen.io/anon/pen/MvGwvw

@BrianWilliams28
could someone give me a hint on what they did to solve the "Sum All Odd Fibonacci Numbers" algorithm? I've crashed Codepen like 5 times testing out different loop methods lmao.
Gulsvi
@gulsvi
@BrianWilliams28 I used a while loop to .push() each number of the fibonacci sequence to an array, filtered out the odd numbers with .filter() and then used .reduce() to sum everything up
BrianWilliams28
@BrianWilliams28
@SkyC0der how did you write your while loop? I can't figure out how to make it iterate through the fibonacci numbers
Gulsvi
@gulsvi
Array starts with [1, 1]
nextnumber = last number of array + second to last number of array
push nextnumber
keep looping until nextNumber is >= to the number passed to the function

Hi folks, was given help to get this work yesterday and forgot to save before I sgut down and I'm damned if I can remember what I had to do. I think it was changing the json to jsonp at the end but that doesn't seem to do anything
Gulsvi
@gulsvi
@hashtagyolo1 :point_up: Here's the code you were given yesterday
Gaurav
@gauravmagan
@SkyC0der can you help me with calling test data set into bootstrap table
i cannot find any resource online
Gulsvi
@gulsvi
I can try
Gaurav
@gauravmagan
yes

This codepen shows how to take data from an API and build a table: https://s.codepen.io/skycoder/pen/xLXmEL

@hashtagyolo1 This is the bare minimum of a quote machine, but I used this when building mine since I had the same problem...nothing worked. This helped me to trouble shoot so that I could create the look and feel desired. hope this helps : https://codepen.io/lorrie/pen/4e50108ae9f862b618ebc4efab1c4931

@hashtagyolo1
@SkyC0der how did you find that? I couldn't work out a way to search through my tagged posts
And thanks again @SkyC0der

@hashtagyolo1 I searched for your name and clicked the post for August 20 that came up
Clicked the search icon, and entered @hastagyolo1
BrianWilliams28
@BrianWilliams28
@SkyC0der you mean loop until nextNumber is <= the number passed to the function?
Gulsvi
@gulsvi
@BrianWilliams28 no, that would make the loop quit immediately. The first instance of next number will be 2 (1 + 1 = 2)
[1, 1, 2]
[1, 1, 2, 3]
[1, 1, 2, 3, 5]
etc...
BrianWilliams28
@BrianWilliams28
@SkyC0der when defining nextNumber how would i differentiate between last number of the array and the current number of the array?
LiciniusRex
@hashtagyolo1
thanks again @SkyC0der

:warning: hashtagyolo1 already gave skyc0der points
Gulsvi
@gulsvi
@BrianWilliams28 You need to add the last two numbers of the array to get nextNumber
Gaurav
@gauravmagan
@SkyC0der thank you

@gulsvi
No problem
BrianWilliams28
@BrianWilliams28
@SkyC0der yeah i get that part, i'm just not connecting the pieces in my mind of how to write it out
Gulsvi
@gulsvi
@BrianWilliams28 How would you get the last element of an array?
(socratic question)
LiciniusRex
@hashtagyolo1
@Lorrie01 I can build a quote generator like that. It's the api I've been struggling with. FCC has done nothing to explain what I'm actually doing with it so having to try and cobble it together from elsewhere and help on here
BrianWilliams28
@BrianWilliams28
@SkyC0der the very last element or the element preceeding the current element?
Gulsvi
@gulsvi
You need both of those
Lorrie Pearson
@Lorrie01
@hashtagyolo1 I apologize. I was only trying to help.
