@gulsvi
@jayvora92 I believe textContent is the standard for browser compatibility, though .text should probably work in modern browsers.

@gauravmagan
@moigithub its not rendering by discarding
may be something wrong with the function

Hey hope every one is doing well. Was hoping someone could help me understand why the "plus" button isn't filling the rest of the space in its column. Any input greatly appreciated. http://i.imgur.com/1j7V8bX.png

@moigithub
@gauravmagan linked bootstrap-table.js ?
Gaurav
@gauravmagan

@gauravmagan
@SkyC0der @moigithub any solutions
Gulsvi
@gulsvi
@gauravmagan My solution is to not use a library to build a table - use JS like I showed you in that codepen
No libraries needed, and the CSS styling is taken directly from bootstrap.css
  data.forEach((user, i) => tableHTML +=
    `<tr>
       <td>${i + 1}</td>
       <td class="user" onclick="window.open('https://freecodecamp.org/${user.username}')">
         <img height="64" src="${user.img}">${user.username}
       </td>
       <td>${user.recent}</td>
       <td>${user.alltime}</td>
     </tr>`
  );

@iamknox Try to set the .plus to flex: 1 200%. Something I use, probably not the right way but it works fo me.
Andrew Knox
@iamknox
Didn't work for my button in this instance but I appreciate the help.
@zk433
Gaurav
@gauravmagan
@SkyC0der actually the above procedure is i required to test
Gulsvi
@gulsvi
@gauravmagan i is not required
@iamknox I believe your container needs a height:
.buttons {
  display: flex;
  flex-direction: column;
  min-height: 130px;
}

.notplus {
  flex: 1 100%;
}
.plus {
  flex: 2 100%;
}
To be honest though, flex + bootstrap might work against you with a calculator design. Buttons should not be percentage sized, my finger or mouse pointer that clicks the calculator buttons does not change size.
Andrew Knox
@iamknox
So there is a better solution without flex that is solely bootstrap? @SkyC0der
Gulsvi
@gulsvi
@iamknox It depends on the design you want, but I would not use bootstrap or flex. Just standard inline-block elements

@Pagnito
@SkyC0der ayo
@SkyC0der nvm figured it out
@SkyC0der actually got another question hehe
Gulsvi
@gulsvi
@Pagnito Hey
Pagnito
@Pagnito
@SkyC0der im giving leaders on FCC leaderboard links to each username to go to their FCC account page, but for some reason the link is just adding on to the filepath
Gulsvi
@gulsvi
How are you creating the links? @Pagnito
Pagnito
@Pagnito
<a className="link" target="-blank" href="freecodecamp.org/{leader.username}">{leader.username}</a>
oh wait
i think i know why lol
Gulsvi
@gulsvi
missing https
and _blank not -blank
Pagnito
@Pagnito
oh ya
-blank worked too tho
now i cant add the usename on to the path
{leader.username} doesnt work
Gulsvi
@gulsvi
-blank will look for an open tab with a title named "-blank" and switch to that. If it doesn't exist, it'll open a new tab
@Pagnito Would it not be: "https://freecodecamp.org/" + {leader.username}
