@markclynch but will php run? As in does GitHub act as a server or does it just store files?
@markclynch you know, a way cleaner and faster way to prototype locally would have been creating your files and serving them locally from a local server (maybe with hot reload so you don't have to manually refresh the page each time you change something). Then committing the relevant change to your branch / and updating the github page once you are sure those changes are there to stay :)
I have all of that
So that you have even a better commit history that just "added border" "changed padding" "new images"... Easier to revert to previous version
linking to the course is not showing the right place
click on the course tab it is not directed to righ place
@1532j0004kg it is, you are just not accounting for the height of the nav bar. Clicking will place the view at the "beginning" of the div. In this case is just getting covered by the navbar height
ya how to fix
but for other tabs its working ?
@Marmiz Your right. I shouildn't be doing such small commits
@1532j0004kg because the other tabs have a higher "banner", so the sign is lower thus seems working :)
So can u fix this one
@1532j0004kg cleanest way to fix it is on click calculate the position - the height (+ margin) of the nav and send there :)
But I'm using vs. code and most of the small ones were only because I was trying to update small changes to my github-pages page so people could see here without me changing all the code links for the pics
how long does it take for github-pages to show the current codebase?
@1532j0004kg thanks man
guys what do you think about pug ? Is something that I need to learn/ or just to know the basics
@dbsimeonov I don't know how widespread its use is, but maybe a cursory understanding is all that is needed react / angular / vuejs should be higher on the list of items to learn
@tptynlr I think that there are libraries for handling word files in JS.
Or maybe you could first convert those docx files to a simpler format, according to what you need to extract from the files (you probably do not need every feature the docx format supports), then a smaller js library would be enough to process that simpler format
