Currently, I'm working on the FCC Data Structures section. I've only ever used the bog standard array in my projects so I'm thinking of trying any of these other structures in my next project. I think array is similar to stack. Maybe try out queue? I haven't reached linked list yet but I've used it in Java in the past.
My strategy is to not actually solve the problem in the lesson. I read the description, then check the result in the hints, and reead more about that data structure. Seems this is more of a standardized thing than say an algorithm where you build your problem solving abilities. example, seems there is a more or less agreed way to set up a queue data structure while ther are lots of different ways of solving a reverse a word algo.

Project-wise, I'm making a collection of components in React to make general project building a bit faster. Like, a folder of header, footer, lists, buttons etc. Then use those in projects using props to make titles and click events. And the same for React Native for mobile apps. My next projects I'm using MongoDB and I don't want to spend oodles of time figuring out all the usual parts. This way I can concentrate on learning MongoDB.
And of course, my usual goal of finding a job. This is taking much more time and been heaps of disappointment than I ever thought. Still, I'm working on it! I'm thinking of checking out resume building course and seeing if there are any courses on how to speak and behave in interviews. I go into a blind panic in interviews and I must come off as a total idiot.
Anyway, I'd love to hear what other women are working on these days and any goals you have.

A while back I bought an ebook all about javascript data structures and algorithms. It's by Loiane Groner and it's very good. The instructions and examples are clear and easy to follow.
Now learning about linked lists.

I'm taking a breather from data structures (stopped at doubly linked lists). So, the other day I realized my design skills are... sad. I looked up react ui libraries and decided to try out Material-UI and I like it. It easily makes responsive web pages and I can incorporate images into Card views, map an array of objects into a batch of Cards, make a half decent (if bland) header and footer, and customize colours and fonts.

Now, I want to practice saving to mongodb and react. Setting up an express/node backend to sort out all of the back and forth from client to server to db and back to serve and then client. It'll live on Glitch.me. Eventually, I'll add react routing to my mini project and then I'll put that project on a separate glitch.me.
