Hi, I was banned for spamming the repo (along with a bunch of others). We were trying out GitHub APIs and we didn't realize we were spamming. I understand the seriousness of the issue and will ensure that this isn't repeated again. I've also gone through the Code of Conduct. Could you please revoke the ban?
@amrithakrishnan were you going through a course or something similar that pointed you to the freecodecamp repo to test the API?
@cmccormack The repo was given to us as a reference to show how the issues are populated. Testing out the commenting API on the repo was our fault.
@amrithakrishnan The repo was given to you from where? If possible we may want to reach out.
@cmccormack We were learning how to use APIs, so a friend suggested we try out getting issues from GitHub using API. This was a one-time thing, won't happen again!
@amrithakrishnan understood, I cannot remove the ban but hopefully an admin that can will review your responses and evaluate if the ban should be removed.
@cmccormack Alright, thank you.
Hi @amrithakrishnan thanks for confirming your committment to our code of conduct. I have lifted the block on your account
Welcome to freeCodeCamp’s community.
@raisedadead Thank you! :)

Hello, apologies if there is a better room or forum for this: I'm wondering if it is possible to add me as an admin/moderator on my local FCC facebook group. The guy who started the group seems to be gone and hasn't responded to my messages, nor responded to my request to join the group. Based on this and the amount/age of posts that I can publicly see on the group, I think it is defunct . I also reached out to Justin Richardson who I think is sort of the shared admin for all FCC facebook groups, but he hasn't responded. A while back I started and ran an FFC group (and facebook group) in my home town, and it was a lot of fun for us, but I've since moved across the country and I'm hoping to do the same thing here. Any help or advice is appreciated, thanks!
cc @QuincyLarson@raisedadead ^ not sure who takes care of the above
As far as I know, local FCC facebook groups are just setup and managed by anyone who decides to set one up. I don't think there is any direct contact with the dev team or Quincy. Might be wrong, but as far as I know you'd need to dm one of the mods of that group
Justin Richardson seemed to be a person associated with FCC at one point. He is a mod of like a fajillion FCC facebook groups, and the FB Group setup instructions on the FCC site used to direct you to add him after the group was set up, I guess so there could be some more centralized control of the groups from FFC's part, if needed.
You can reachout to Quincy for helping you get onboarded on this.
Of course let me know if I can be of any help.
Hello admins! I couldn't find the option or channel on gitter, where I can report something that is wrong certain lesson. I don't mean the bug, but the "logic" in learning path. Something is clearly missing which can cause the learners (like me) the confusion. How can I report it?
@xeho91 The Issues section on the GitHub Repository would be the best place to report your issue.
@mstellaluna@jonathan-grah@raisedadead Thanks for all your help, much appreciated!
please give me auth permission to join LetsPair room mods
@linkin-park Should be accesable for you now :)

What is the status of using to the FCC forum for supporting local study groups? Is that a thing now or an upcoming feature?
@slbccfl the FCC forum used to have dedicated sections for local study groups for each country, but that disappeared recently and was just folded into the general section, probably due to lack of community support in most areas
Not sure if this is the right place
But for some reason, my IP is blocked from making an account on the forums even though I've never made an account. The only FCC account I have is for the main site.
@RandellDawson it sounds like @mannermauler might have been collateral damage of the Netlify problem.
What happened with netlify?
@mannermauler I can't go into exact details, but it's a known issue and we're working on getting this fixed as soon as possible. Rest assured that if you've never been on the forums before, you're not intentionally banned by us :) Please check back regularly to see if the issue has been solved. Our apologies for the inconvenience.
Thanks, will do.
Was something compromised?
Because my dad might've used netlify before as he's a web developer.
