@cmccormack We were learning how to use APIs, so a friend suggested we try out getting issues from GitHub using API. This was a one-time thing, won't happen again!

@amrithakrishnan understood, I cannot remove the ban but hopefully an admin that can will review your responses and evaluate if the ban should be removed.

Hello, apologies if there is a better room or forum for this: I'm wondering if it is possible to add me as an admin/moderator on my local FCC facebook group. The guy who started the group seems to be gone and hasn't responded to my messages, nor responded to my request to join the group. Based on this and the amount/age of posts that I can publicly see on the group, I think it is defunct . I also reached out to Justin Richardson who I think is sort of the shared admin for all FCC facebook groups, but he hasn't responded. A while back I started and ran an FFC group (and facebook group) in my home town, and it was a lot of fun for us, but I've since moved across the country and I'm hoping to do the same thing here. Any help or advice is appreciated, thanks!

As far as I know, local FCC facebook groups are just setup and managed by anyone who decides to set one up. I don't think there is any direct contact with the dev team or Quincy. Might be wrong, but as far as I know you'd need to dm one of the mods of that group
Heath Morris
@HeathMorrisCode
Justin Richardson seemed to be a person associated with FCC at one point. He is a mod of like a fajillion FCC facebook groups, and the FB Group setup instructions on the FCC site used to direct you to add him after the group was set up, I guess so there could be some more centralized control of the groups from FFC's part, if needed.

Hi @HeathMorrisCode , I am from freeCodeCamp.org staff. Thanks for your query. We have long since not been using Facebook groups officially. Instead we use our forum to coordinate and stay in touch with members from the local study group. You can learn more about it here: https://www.freecodecamp.org/forum/t/lets-make-it-official-upgrading-freecodecamps-local-study-groups/270534
You can reachout to Quincy for helping you get onboarded on this.
Of course let me know if I can be of any help.

Hello admins!
I couldn't find the option or channel on gitter, where I can report something that is wrong certain lesson. I don't mean the bug, but the "logic" in learning path. Something is clearly missing which can cause the learners (like me) the confusion. How can I report it?
Christopher McCormack
@cmccormack
@xeho91 The Issues section on the GitHub Repository would be the best place to report your issue.

Can someone ban Milan-Varghese from GitHub. I asked them two different times to not post code to old posts and if they need help to use the forums. This is the 3rd such post. Here are all of the user's posts.

What is the status of using to the FCC forum for supporting local study groups? Is that a thing now or an upcoming feature?
Brad
@bradtaniguchi
@slbccfl the FCC forum used to have dedicated sections for local study groups for each country, but that disappeared recently and was just folded into the general section, probably due to lack of community support in most areas

Hello
Not sure if this is the right place
But for some reason, my IP is blocked from making an account on the forums even though I've never made an account. The only FCC account I have is for the main site.
Oliver Eyton-Williams
@ojeytonwilliams
@RandellDawson it sounds like @mannermauler might have been collateral damage of the Netlify problem.
mannermauler
@mannermauler
Ah
What happened with netlify?
Bjorn
@bjorno43
@mannermauler I can't go into exact details, but it's a known issue and we're working on getting this fixed as soon as possible. Rest assured that if you've never been on the forums before, you're not intentionally banned by us :) Please check back regularly to see if the issue has been solved. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

Was something compromised?
Because my dad might've used netlify before as he's a web developer.

Hey, just went to read this recent article,
Tom
@moT01
there's no shortage of plugging her new e-book! there, but it looks like more than just a promotion to me - there's a useful article as well.
Oliver Eyton-Williams
@ojeytonwilliams

I just checked the news code of conduct and

It is perfectly fine to talk about your product at the end of your article.

so, while it's definitely not just a promotion it does go a bit overboard.

Mrugesh Mohapatra
@raisedadead
@paytonbox can you please send an email to quincy@freecodecamp.org and/or abbey@freecodecamp.org, they will take a look and get back to you.
