Looking forward to continuing all the great work from GCCBOSC.

Nice one, hope you can make it for at least part of the day.

@cganote
@chapmanb do you think you'll wanna try this monthly?
Brad Chapman
@chapmanb
The initial idea was every 3 months, and hoping for a bigger pre-planned event in Boston in early December. We can increase it if we have interest, right now it's more of an experiment to see if having regular sessions would benefit folks and people will be able to attend.
Is the sign up for physical attendants? I did not see one in the Wiki.
Brad Chapman
@chapmanb
It would be great if you could sign up even if remote, just so we know who to expect. There is a link to the Google Doc under "Register" at the top of the wiki: https://www.open-bio.org/wiki/CoFest_2018_August

Great idea to have online CoFest! Unfortunately we can't join the online discussions 'cause the first one is on Friday's evening here in Tokyo.. :p
would be great if we could have the next online CoFest other than on Friday so that Asia Pacific people can join (eu morning, asia afternoon & us evening, asia morning of the next day)

I am a bit late. What I have been thinking about doing is to make sure that the Asaim tutorials got full workflows available. I think I talked about this before the Summer and I am not sure in of those are available now
Not quite a JVM based SALAD but someone on my team put this together on the side and is allowing us to forego the CLI SALAD step if any other JVM folks are interested: https://github.com/broadinstitute/heterodon
I’d still looooove to see a JVM SALAD impl for multiple reasons but this at least covers one of the key reasons and was a lot less effort. And as @tetron notes, it’s clever :)

Shall we move this conversation back to a CWL channel? :-)

Where’s the facepalm emoji when i need one. This is right below CWL on my gitter app ;)
Yes! BOSC 2019 will be July 24-25, with CoFest July 26-28. We will send out more info soon, but the rudiments are here: https://www.open-bio.org/wiki/BOSC_2019
