Feb 10 2016 17:37
I am in school right now, so I'm gonna need a few hours before I can start paying attention :D
Have any of you guys read the overview I posted on the Google Doc?

I don't think Python would be the best option
really slow for AI
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
Feb 10 2016 17:42
I agree that python is very slow
This is why I picked it in the first place: There are a lot of libraries that automate the trivial tasks that will need to be written into the AI. For instance, speech recognition is not a very simple process using C++ and Java (as far as I know), but in Python, with the use of just a couple of libraries, we can easily implement it
My thought process, originally, was to develop a working version of the Developer Assistant in Python, then rewrite it in another language (since the logic is already done it shouldn't be that difficult) to optimize it
Thoughts?

Java Speech API could be used for Java or Voce for both C++ and Java.

That looks really cool!
Would you guys like me to create additional DevAssist repos in other languages? If so, which language(s)?

@vincentes

Feb 10 2016 18:12
Should we make PRs or just push directly?
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
Feb 10 2016 18:13
Uhhh....PRs would be preferable for large things
Single commits can just push

Feb 10 2016 18:16
I think we should start off by adding voice/text command doc search
yep @DarkmatterVale :)
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
Feb 10 2016 18:17
That sounds like a fairly good place to start
Do you have any ideas as to how we should structure the project?
What do you think of my current structure in the DevAssist repo?
Vicente Bermúdez
@vincentes
Feb 10 2016 18:20
looks good
I don't know much Python so I can't say much
In the Java project it will be kinda different
src folder and test folder in root directory, with all the readme stuff
