@Matt-Allen44 Have you been added yet?
If not, @modwizcode could you please add him?

Ok

Thank you
I have to work on school tonight, so I do not think I will get a chance to take a crack at working on DevAssist until tomorrow :(

Yeah

@DarkmatterVale
Feb 11 2016 00:16
Do you have the same conundrum lol?
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
Feb 11 2016 20:04
Anyone on?
Russell Greene
@russelltg
Feb 11 2016 20:05
Kinda
At school
But I can talk :D
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
Feb 11 2016 20:11
hahaha, ok
I've got this weird error on OS X using PyAudio
Russell Greene
@russelltg
Feb 11 2016 20:12
This channel is for the python version, or both?
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
Feb 11 2016 20:12
Both
Russell Greene
@russelltg
Feb 11 2016 20:12
Okay
What is the error?
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
Feb 11 2016 20:13
Here is a great summary of the error Uberi/speech_recognition#71
Ever had this error?
Russell Greene
@russelltg
Feb 11 2016 20:14
No...I use Linux and my python experience is minimal, I'm probably not the best resource. I'll look into it, nothing better to do.
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
Feb 11 2016 20:14
lol, cool thanks
I can successfully talk to the bot once
But then it crashes because of this
Russell Greene
@russelltg
Feb 11 2016 20:15
Oh weird
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
Feb 11 2016 20:16
Yeah
Other than that, it works fine (at least what I've coded so far :D )
Russell Greene
@russelltg
Feb 11 2016 20:19
Haha yes it works fine except a crash. Ship it!
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
Feb 11 2016 20:20
haha
Its a good start...
Russell Greene
@russelltg
Feb 11 2016 20:21
Yes ofc
Are you sure your file isn't corrrupt?
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
Feb 11 2016 20:22
Yea
I think so
That is the line of the error
It is being caused by a stream closed error
Iris Johnson
@modwizcode
Feb 11 2016 20:28
Hmm
That's weird. What's it supposed to do.
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
Feb 11 2016 20:29
It is supposed to just keep working
But instead the stream crashes
Apparently, this is a known error
Iris Johnson
@modwizcode
Feb 11 2016 20:30
What...
Known errors are dumb. It's just a way to avoid fixing then.
Any fix?
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
Feb 11 2016 20:37
Yea
I think
But its gonna take a little work...
Has anyone started working on the Java version? @vincentes Weren't you planning on starting that?
Iris Johnson
@modwizcode
Feb 11 2016 20:38
What about C#?
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
Feb 11 2016 20:38
Would you like me to create another version?
Iris Johnson
@modwizcode
Feb 11 2016 20:40
Idk that's a lot of versions. I don't know C# really well yet, but I like the look of it. Seems nicer than Java.
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
Feb 11 2016 20:41
I don't know C# very well either
That's why I didn't create a version for it. That and no one has asked for it
Iris Johnson
@modwizcode
Feb 11 2016 20:42
It seems nice. But I think c# or Java since they fit the same place in the language pyramid.
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
Feb 11 2016 20:44
Yea
Java is definitely a necessary version of the library
Iris Johnson
@modwizcode
Feb 11 2016 20:44
Ok. What's the focus for the project? I might have misunderstood.
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
Feb 11 2016 20:45
The focus of the project is to develop an intelligent assistant for developers
That can automate tasks that take a lot of time but are simple
Such as test running (which can sometimes take time)
Test generation (this is difficult, but can be done)
And I'm welcome to other ideas
I will be back in a little bit...Gotta go :D
Iris Johnson
@modwizcode
Feb 11 2016 20:51
Kk
Russell Greene
@russelltg
Feb 11 2016 21:17
C# has the advantage of natively compiling....
Iris Johnson
@modwizcode
Feb 11 2016 21:18
Not a big need for this project tho
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
Feb 11 2016 22:31
Yea
I agree
