Thoughts?
Russell Greene
@russelltg
Should we use github or phab for pull requests?
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
Github please
@GuapoTaco Do you have a PR?
Russell Greene
@russelltg
No, just curious which you prefer
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
Ok

@DarkmatterVale
Updated file_runner
GCI-2015-GPW/DevAssist#4
Should allow for much better use in the terminal client
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
Ok, so you can now run programs
Through terminal, not speech; I still haven't figured out why PyAudio is crashing on OS X
:(
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
Here are the modules that I think we should have (before the first release):
1) run tests : Allow DevAssist to run testing suites for projects and report the results
2) run files: Multiple language support is needed, but is not extremely difficult to add
3) (Maybe?) Github integration : Support to push, get commit logs, commit descriptions, etc
What do you guys think?

Cool

@vincentes
So.. How's the project going? I haven't been active lately.

Its going alright
I've added some functionality
Fixed some bugs
Its just a really slow process because it gets so complicated
so fast :D
Vicente Bermúdez
@vincentes
Nice, that's some progress right there
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
Yea
I got it actually working
And added file running support
And created a framework for adding additional features
Definitely have a lot more to do though :P

@vincentes
I'm working on a personal project atm. I feel like I'm not experienced enough to work on this project (like most of thquick tasks
lol
but I can work on some quick tasks*
sent from by Go api (sucks)
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
It definitely is a difficult project
I always get stuck in a circle whenever I think about it
Because it is just so circular to think about real AI
and not fancy AR
Vicente Bermúdez
@vincentes
Yeah.. I think extensibility is difficult but it's possible
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
Yea
The question is how much "real" AI we want to incorporate into this project
The more you want, the more difficult it gets...By a lot...
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
@vincentes Have you had a chance to start working on the Java version?
Vicente Bermúdez
@vincentes
I can't get any voice recognition library working
Iris Johnson
@modwizcode
Hmm
This sounds like a challenge
Can't do sphinx's java api?
Vicente Bermúdez
@vincentes
I'll try again today
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
How'd it go?
Vicente Bermúdez
@vincentes
I said "today" :P I just finished my gitter client prototype. I'll get on that.
Vale
@DarkmatterVale
oh cool
