Hi @abishekrsrikaanth my advise would be to look up the div (e.g something like.querySelector('[data-editable][data-name="'' + region_name "]')) and go from there
As for the div, any element you add in an editable region the editor doesn't recognize (isn't associated with a tag) will be automatically converted into a static element.

/all so this week I have finally released a very early version of ContentFlow - An extension to the ContentTools WYSIWYG editor to manage content flows. There's some way to go before it can be dropped into a production environment but for those who have been waiting for better options for page layout this may be worth a peek now: https://github.com/GetmeUK/ContentFlow

As a very quick summary content flow are basically elements containing a list of editable regions (a.k.a snippets in CF). The ContentFlow extension provides a manager tool so that you can manage these flows inserting, ordering and removing snippets to build your page. This provides a lot more flexibility over the page layout which must be fixed in CT for the most part.

If have questions I'm happy to try and spend some time answering them this evening and over the weekend and any of you brave enough to try this very early version please do give me a shout with any feedback.

Finally for anyone not aware, ContentFlow (and ContentTools) are part of a much bigger project I'm working on - Manhattan - which is a Python Web Framework/CMS. We're now using Manhattan in a handful of production sites and I expect to be able to releasing more information about shortly (including a revised release date - I'm only 7 months behind so far)
