@AwesomeChap
Hello everyone, I'm Jatin, currently working as a Technical Writer for TheStartup publication at Medium. I wish to participate in GSOD.
I am very quite interested in contributing to Hydra Ecosystem documentation as it technically aligns with various areas of interest on mine and where I believe my skills will match quite well. I can write well and do some development using MERN stack as well.
You can know more about me by visiting www.jatinkumar.tech
And you may visit https://medium.com/@jatin15011999 in order to know about my writing style.
Thank you!

Hello folks,
I also discovered the Hydra community via Google Season of Docs and am really interested in being a part of the work you guys are doing. I'm a software engineer currently involved with several different LA communities, including WriteTheDocs, LearnTeachCode, and the San Gabriel Valley Linux Users group. I was recently in charge of documentation for the SoCal Linux Expo's A/V team, I've also been working on python package for SysML - a systems modeling language based on UML, among other other open source projects. I'd very much be interested in working on "Writing the conceptual and architectural overviews for the project".

Let me know if there's a particular POC I should reach out to. Good luck & thanks!

Hey guys, welcome to the community, please make use of this chatroom to discuss everything regarding the software we are writing, do discuss about GSoD, make use of hydra-ecosystem-documentation@googlegroups.com
You can always go back and refer our current docs which are at https://hydraecosystem.org and the SoD document you might have already seen at hydraecosystem.org/seasonofdocs-2019

Doesn't make sense, the requirements.txt uses hydra_openapi_parser from the github repo. See https://github.com/HTTP-APIs/hydrus/blob/master/requirements.txt . Can you check your requirements.txt?

That's weird, here everything is working good with Python 3.6.7. The recent travis builds with 3.7 seemed to work too

Devdutt Shenoi
@de-sh
Apparently it is an issue with the specific binary of python that my distro repos pushed, not an issue with our code, sorry for pulling it up :sweat_smile:

hello, anyone know of an API that returns an http status 207?
Lorenzo
@Mec-iS
@miqui As far as I can understand, as it is defined 207 is a XML API-only response code. As a group we work only with JSON APIs. Personally I have never seen a JSON API considering returning 207
207 is a facade returning code. The body of the response can contain different response codes in accordance to an XML schema defined in rfc4918.

no, as hydrus is not specs-complete at the moment. We should have all specs covered for September. You should try it and see with Vishal what is missing

Hi Everyone,
The CFP for posters, for PyCon India 2019, is open!

Posters are graphical summary of projects or ideas. They are usually
presented with an A0 size poster, but any creative ways are always welcome.
The poster session provides an opportunity to network with the conference
attendees and acts as a starting point for further discussions. While talks
generally needs to appeal to a wide section of the community, posters can
cover niche topics.

PyCon India 2019 will be having a poster presentation session at post
lunch, day 1. During the poster presentation session you will be provided
with a poster board that can hold an A0 size poster, and a table to place
your laptop, for demos. Conference attendees interested in your topic, will
stop by, during which you can give them a brief presentation / demo.

To submit your proposal and for more details visit
https://in.pycon.org/cfp/posters-2019/proposals/

For more details about PyCon India 2019, please visit https://in.pycon.org/

@/all this is something interesting, shouldn't we do this, especially since most of our code is in Python!

Also, there is this conference coming up conf.mec.dev where there'll be DevSprints(hackathon format for OpenSource contributions), I was thinking of applying for small code fixes and community creation during that period. Would love it if we could create a few issues for beginners to crack at and get started. Especially in the documentation part of things. Can we?

Hello everyone,
My team and I at IIT is working on a project based on women safety. We are calling everyone from our contacts to help us by contributing on our dataset collection application. This will not take more than few minutes. We are collecting audio samples for certain keywords and the complete dataset will be released later on.
Please go to: https://quickspeech-in.web.app?ref=g and feel free to ask any questions. Help us by sharing it as well :)

Thank you!
