hi guys, im looking to host a postgres database in a decentralized fashion like zeronet sites
anyone know if this is something zeronet could be extended to achieve or if there are anyother projects out there that sound similar to this?

@visagegod You can use ZeroNet, you'd need to split that DB into JSON files, though.

@imachug Hi, I'm new to this technology, so I really appreciate the assistance! Splitting the DB into JSON files seems fine to me. The next step would be adding them to the ZeroNet's SQL database using ZeroFrame API calls?
If that is correct would that mean that the SQL database is distributed between all the current ZeroNet peers at that time?

@visagegod You'll need to create JSON files like this:
{
{
    "table_name": {
        "row1": value1,
        "row1": value2
    }
}
I recommend you to split tables to JSON files < 1MB, as ZeroNet doesn't distribute big files very well.

Then you'll have to create a special dbschema.json file. Once you finish exporting to JSON files, I could help you with this.

You can mail me at gitcenter@zeroid.bit at ZeroMail or imachug@gmail.com

And then, after creating correct dbschema.json you can run SELECT queries via ZeroFrame API.

@imachug Super helpful stuff thanks!! I'm going to start having a fiddle about but I'll stay in touch. I notice that ZeroNet limits me to holding 20MB of data per website. Say my database grows to be considerably larger than this, does ZeroNet distribute 20MB database chunks to try and ensure the full database is online at all times?

You can open sidebar and replace 20 with 100 or whatever to set site limit
Then, when people would want to download your site, they will be asked if they want to download this amount of data
