Ahh cool :)
Nice to know
I need some support to do that..because I'm new to Java and Alfresco development too
I was able to trigger the scanner to understand the files
but it's missing the part where it loads and do the thing

I have used JRebel for years now, but always hoping to find a less expensive solution for our 30+ devs

exactly :) A friend of mine uses it and told me about it
that is really cool

Right you need to handle XML diffing, then register new beans, reconfigure existing beans and handle dependencies on changed beans. I think it's pretty complicated... Given the comment above about a couple days work, maybe less complicated than I imagine :g

well..I think one knowing how to deal with the big picture..is not too hard
because there are some similar classes implementing the same way

Also with Alfresco we have subsystems that have their own child application contexts and class loaders. That is not a frequently used feature for folks extending Alfresco, but I suspect it complicated things too...
In any case, I will be watching this project with interest.

well I hope the devs will help with that :) hotswap could really kick off JRebel and Alfresco devbase would love it

I wonder if it would be possible on to provide a bounty for this feature and what that bounty might be and how long it might take?
