personally I'd rather this be in javascript instead of python for 1) staying consistent with the rest of our server side code, 2) having flexibility of shifting anything to browser side since its all in js. A good option I've used before in cheerio (this is also using w3c standard)
but overall this is NO BIG DEAL since we wont scrape that often at all

I actually don't know how useful the script will be
There's no way I can think of to do a clean scrape of this site because the html/formatting is not consistent
however this implementation might be good enough to get at least a bit of use out of

Ideally it would be better to have it in javascript, yes. However I'd also argue that Python is more maintainable and on top of that utilities shouldn't really have a hard language requirement since I'd imagine most of them are not supposed to be run by the server or client.
