is it not possible to have more than one NNTP connection on Android with Indy? I have a "pool" of connections in order to have multiple simultaneous requests, and the second one never returns from Connect - works OK on Windows.. yet to test on iOS

there is nothing in Indy that limits the number of connections. Each TIdNNTP object instance represents a separate TCP connection. You can have as many as you want, unless Android itself is limiting the nmber of available sockets, which I doubt it does. If you want to use SSL/TLS, make sure you use a separate SSLIOHandler object per NNTP object.

I'm using the Clone method to make sure the settings for the SSLIOHandler are all the same.. as I say, it all works on Windows, just fails on both mobile platforms
