I want to get the count of parent entity which has linked entity
I am doing aggregation here
For eg. Contact has case associated with it
I want to count all the contacts from so and so date having cases with certain case title
there can be multiple cases for each contact
<fetch version="1.0" output-format="xml-platform" mapping="logical" distinct="true" aggregate="true">
<entity name="abc_entity">
<attribute name="abc_name" alias="EntityName" aggregate="countcolumn"/>
<attribute name="createdon" alias="createdonyear" groupby="true" dategrouping="year"/>
<attribute name="createdon" alias="createdonmonth" groupby="true" dategrouping="month"/>
<attribute name="createdon" alias="createdonweek" groupby="true" dategrouping="day"/>
<filter type="and">
<condition attribute="abc_applicationdate" operator="on-or-after" value="@Start_date"/>
<condition attribute="abc_applicationdate" operator="on-or-before" value="@EndDate"/>
<condition attribute="abc_productid" operator="in">
</condition>
</filter>
<link-entity name="abc_entitydocument" from="abc_entityid" to="abc_entityid" alias="av" link-type="inner">
<attribute name="createdon" alias="CreatedDate" aggregate="max"/>
<filter type="and">
<condition attribute="abc_document" operator="not-null"/>
<condition attribute="abc_entityid" operator="not-null"/>
</filter>
</link-entity>
</entity>
</fetch>
I am not sure how will it work
Jonas Rapp
@rappen
Hi mkcgphy!
So what about the fetch you sent - does it work?
It does not count contacts and cases, that is for sure...
mkcgphy
@mkcgphy
No it doesnt work at all
normal query without aggregation works
but it is giving me different count
if someone can help me getting accurate data that highly appreciated

Hello everyone! how I can enable the option to aggregate and groupby
Total Thanks
Jonas Rapp
@rappen
Select the fetch node at the top, and then check the Aggregate box.

@rappen
@rajyraman Do you have any idea what might be causing this behavior reported by @medevil84 ? Innofactor/XrmToolBox.BulkDataUpdater#7

Hi Masters
I have questions with the fetchxml
From the plugin store, I have installed it to XrmlToolBox, set options all for Entities and Attributes. Collect to CRM 365. Selected account entity in open views, but when I press refresh view, nothing show up.

Do distincts not work on linked attributes?
<fetch distinct="true" >
<entity name="allgnt_job" >
<filter>
<condition attribute="createdon" operator="last-x-months" value="12" />
</filter>
<link-entity name="dfnd_timeslot" from="dfnd_timeslotid" to="dfnd_timeslotid" link-type="inner" >
<attribute name="dfnd_tblreftimeslot_timeslotid" alias="TimeSlotCount" />
</link-entity>
</entity>
</fetch>

@daryllabar
Flipping my query so the TimeSlot was the primary worked...
so, I'll agree with you @MscrmTools
Now stop talking to me and correcting my blogs, and pointing out that TipOfTheDay already has my lack of knowledge covered, and go an enjoy your Friday!
MscrmTools
@MscrmTools
