Alexey Shytikov
@shytikov
or... if record was modified after last check and before now
it's yours
yotrainor
@yodelmas
Ok, I just need to check createdOn and modifiedOn fields. As you say, more simple.
Alexey Shytikov
@shytikov
you can use FetchXMLBuilder by Jonas to compose this condition
it's pretty visual tool
and it generates C# code for you
:)
it should be like piece a cake
yotrainor
@yodelmas
OH, it generates c# code ? amazing ^^
Alexey Shytikov
@shytikov
yes
:)
Jonas Rapp
@rappen
Compose query, select Save... as QueryExpression C# code.... :p
yotrainor
@yodelmas
Thanks guys, I have all my answers ^^. awesome
Jonas Rapp
@rappen
Good luck! :)
yotrainor
@yodelmas
Another one, modifiedOn is only for an entity or I can check field mofidiedOn too ?
Jonas Rapp
@rappen
Only for the entire record, unfortunately.
yotrainor
@yodelmas
hmm, so the only way I have to check modified field in entity is to use audit entity ?
Jonas Rapp
@rappen
Yes. And CRM audit records are not stored as simple information, but an XML doc defining what was changed in each audit. So it is really hard to extract the info you might need... Another option is to store "last value" in a separate field, and compare, and after csv export update to set the last value to current value.... a bit of extra work, indeed.
yotrainor
@yodelmas
yes, or add yes no hidden field on entity and check that field..
Jonas Rapp
@rappen
:+1:
yotrainor
@yodelmas
Many thanks guys.
Daryl LaBar
@daryllabar
Coming late to this, but if you wanted a CRM only solution, you could create a custom entity, and create a single record for it, then create a Plugin that fires on delete, that creates a new entity, and executed whatever code you need, and then set up a bulk delete task that runs whenever you need it to run.
Feels very hackish, but is totally supported.
yotrainor
@yodelmas
hm i see, azure job seems to be easier for me
Daryl LaBar
@daryllabar
Awesome. I think I have a stack overflow answer that walks through that...
yotrainor
@yodelmas
You mean, for my asking ?
yotrainor
@yodelmas
Yep, this is what I planned to do :smile:
Why I dont have got xrm client dll in sdk2016 ? I have it in 2015 ?
Daryl LaBar
@daryllabar
It has been deprecated
yotrainor
@yodelmas
What do I have to use instead so ?
yotrainor
@yodelmas
Is somewhere a doc with all the entitylogicalname and columset by entity ?
Daryl LaBar
@daryllabar
XrmToolBox MetadataBrowser?
yotrainor
@yodelmas
Exactely but withtout launch xrmtoolbox ?
I mean a doc with standard metadata attribute for each entity on web..
Daryl LaBar
@daryllabar
You mean the OOB entities?
yotrainor
@yodelmas
Yes, when I write c# code, I need to go in XrmToolbox anytime I want to retrieve an entity (attributes…) because I dont know exactly the logical name. (like firstname, lastname … in contact). So It will be good to have a kind of document who share that informations without use XrmToolbox.
Daryl LaBar
@daryllabar
I just generate the Entities using the Early Bound Generator. It has all of that in it.
yotrainor
@yodelmas
Ok I dont know that plugin
I sent you an invite to the room. Feel free to ask any questions of that in that room.
yotrainor
@yodelmas
Thank you
yotrainor
@yodelmas
Hi, I wonder what is the best way to connect to CRM. I already use Web Api and OrganizationService. I usually use OrganizationService when I developped service web and I use WebApi on client app side because I need to authenticate users with token. Is this the good way to do ? Is there more pros and cons ? (I don’t know if I have to ask something like this here, maybe there is a General CRM Asking channel on Gitter ?)
Jonas Rapp
@rappen
Hi! This channel is primarily for topics regarding Cinteros' plugins for XrmToolBox. One of our colleagues might have some answer, but I would recommend more generic CRM channels/forums. I don't know if there is one here on Gitter, but you can always use the official MS forums.
yotrainor
@yodelmas
Ok, TY
Daryl LaBar
@daryllabar
I find that Stack Overflow is pretty good as well @yodelmas, but your question, as is, really isn't applicable to it's model.
Jonas Rapp
@rappen
@LmmOlsen Do you also have FetchXML Builder installed?
LmmOlsen
@LmmOlsen
Hey @rappen , thank you for your quick reply! I tried other plugins which stated they needed other plugins in order to work, so I went ahead and tried installing them all, to give it try again, and then it work :D
Jonas Rapp
@rappen
:+1: Great !
