I've just updated arara on TeX Live and noticed a difference. Currently TL has bib2gls v2.7, but I have bib2gls aliased to my local copy (2.8). Previously arara was using my development version (from the alias) but now its using the TL version.
I'm not sure if maybe I also installed TL bib2gls when I was updating arara.

    Are you running through terminal?

    Yes (bash)

IIRC the execution thingy refers to the first match in a path lookup. Maybe TL bib2gls was indeed updated and the TL path might be first, it was selected...
How was bib2gls 2.8 referenced? As an alias?
I don't know if aliases would work in a subprocess...

Yes, it's aliased in my .bashrc as alias bib2gls=$HOME/programming/java/bib2gls/src/bin/bib2gls
I'll try added a symlink in ~/bin instead of an alias. That directory comes before TL's bin

What concerns me is that it was working before :)
What does which -a bib2gls give?

Switching to a symlink from ~/bin works :)
Don't know why it worked before but then stopped working

which -a bib2gls has now got a bit confused
    alias bib2gls='/home/nlct/programming/java/bib2gls/src/bin/bib2gls' ~/programming/java/bib2gls/src/bin/bib2gls ~/bin/bib2gls /usr/local/texlive/default/bin/x86_64-linux/bib2gls ~/bin/bib2gls /usr/local/texlive/default/bin/x86_64-linux/bib2gls ~/bin/bib2gls
Oh it's missing the first line

Sorry, I'm getting my texting muddled :D
    alias bib2gls='/home/nlct/programming/java/bib2gls/src/bin/bib2gls'
        ~/programming/java/bib2gls/src/bin/bib2gls
    ~/bin/bib2gls
    /usr/local/texlive/default/bin/x86_64-linux/bib2gls
    ~/bin/bib2gls
    /usr/local/texlive/default/bin/x86_64-linux/bib2gls
    ~/bin/bib2gls
    I unaliased bib2gls in a different terminal.
I think my PATH has got a bit muddled.

I want to give the IoT TL image a shot for PGF CI, but for that I need curl. Would it be possible to add curl to the base image?

Cheers. I think the addition of curl would also be beneficial for other users. For example l3build also depends on curl for the CTAN upload.

I recently moved all my home computing to a Raspberry Pi 4B and I was surprised to see that we don't build texlive images for architectures other than amd64.

Or is it just that architectures other than amd64 are not mirrored over to Docker Hub?
In the first case, I think I might be able to help if there were interest.

I might need to poke Ben Frank , he knows way more than I do. :)
Well, I know close to nothing, to be honest. :)

Me, I am more of a GitHub guy, so any experiments with GitLab's CI may take me a while, but I have some experience with multiarch Docker builds.

Vít, maybe it's good to mention that we IoT are part of GitLab's Open Source Program, so we have more stuff available than the things from the free tier. :)

Ah it's worth mentioned that DH and IoT images were independent in the beginning. :)

    Ah, didn't know that.
What happened to the original DH image maintainers?
    Paulo Cereda
    @cereda:matrix.org

IIRC Henri created the TeX Live DH account, and at almost the same time Ben came up the images to build our documentation. At some point, Henri saw potential in our images, and then we got the maintenance. :) I might ping hmenke to help me. :) Ben Frank is probably unavailable this weekend, I guess. :)

I am a complete newbie with Docker images. To be honest, I think I tested a TeX Live image once for some reason. I don't even had a decent broadband. :)
I should stop talking with acronyms. :)

It's the first time one has approached us with a request for a new arch, so it's good for us as part of the learning process. :)
