    Kyle Knight
    @kyleknighted
    oh, sorry, the .bin was in the node_modues, which doesn't exist, so that makes sense
    Lorenzo Pichilli
    @pichillilorenzo
    okok!
    Kyle Knight
    @kyleknighted
    yea I just updated the Completion plugin today which said that I should check this one out - so i freshly installed this morning
    after I disabled Completion
    Lorenzo Pichilli
    @pichillilorenzo

    Kyle Knight
    @kyleknighted
    sorry, just trying to recall the steps i took when i installed
    Lorenzo Pichilli
    @pichillilorenzo
    It is strange because if you didn't have the node_modules, the plugin must show to you a message error
    Kyle Knight
    @kyleknighted
    I'm on Sublime Dev 3156
    Lorenzo Pichilli
    @pichillilorenzo
    mmm
    Kyle Knight
    @kyleknighted
    Want me to uninstall and reinstall?
    Is there a cache or anything for package control I can clear/refresh ?
    Lorenzo Pichilli
    @pichillilorenzo
    nope, if you can, I will post here a code that need to be inserted into plugin code.. just a simple piece of code to understand what is going on, ok?
    Kyle Knight
    @kyleknighted
    sounds good
    Lorenzo Pichilli
    @pichillilorenzo
    open the plugin folder -> open _generated_2018_01_23_at_15_18_32.py file -> go to line 1330 and add this please:
    print(node_modules_path)
    print(os.path.exists(node_modules_path))
    thanks!
    then save and open console log of Sublime Text.. after saving, the plugin will be restarted automatically
    Kyle Knight
    @kyleknighted
    So no need to restart ST3?
    Lorenzo Pichilli
    @pichillilorenzo

    same error over and over
    Lorenzo Pichilli
    @pichillilorenzo
    mmm ok restart ST3
    then don't type anything
    just open console
    Kyle Knight
    @kyleknighted
    okay, now I get a message Error during installation: "node.js" seems not installed on your system. Node.js and npm are required to be able to use JavaScript Enhancements plugin.
    Lorenzo Pichilli
    @pichillilorenzo
    mmm
    do you use something like nvm for node.js versions?
    because I think the problem is that the plugin doesn't recognize your node.js installation (maybe it need the right path)
    Kyle Knight
    @kyleknighted
    $ which node
    >_ /usr/local/bin/node
    it doesn't look like I'm using any weird versions of node
    but I can provide a path. What is the setting I need to change?
    Lorenzo Pichilli
    @pichillilorenzo
    go to the plugin settings file
    and set node_custom_path with that
    also for npm
    but it is very strange
    because it must be recognize automatically
    I tested it with another Mac
    Kyle Knight
    @kyleknighted
    that appears to have fixed it
    Lorenzo Pichilli
    @pichillilorenzo
    with the same node
    ok!
    Kyle Knight
    @kyleknighted
    either way, it works now ;)
    perhaps if the issue is recreated it may be worth digging into
    Lorenzo Pichilli
    @pichillilorenzo
    yeah
    I can't really understand it
    I really don't know why ahahaha
    however thanks for your support!
    Kyle Knight
    @kyleknighted
    but i wouldn't fret too much over it. maybe add to FAQ or something, but i appreciate the help.
    Lorenzo Pichilli
    @pichillilorenzo
    but it is different
    I will add also this case
    do you set also npm or the problem was only for node_custom_path?
    can you send me your plugin settings file please? Thanks!
