    I want to know how to publish changes. Although I changed/renewed some translation it did not reflect on julialang website.

    @pmargreff
    @tomaklutfu you didn't publish, they do that when a new deploy happen

    @/all I have updated the resources, published to production and also removed languages that don't have the home page at least 75% translated and reviewed.
    • JuliaLang/julialang.github.com#549
    In order for a string to be displayed in a translated language, it has to be not only translated, but also reviewed! :warning:

    @ChrisRackauckas thanks for reminding me of this, I have to state that I didn't have any JavaScript experience, but I have been learning and working with it recently. Since then, now I have a better idea of how to customize the provided transifex widget, and also @waldyrious has made progress in this:

    My real aim is to make Transifex team aware of this usability issues and make them fix them upsteram, so not only us benefit from this, but all the other transifex projects that relly on transifex web, etc.
    The process has been slow, but they have already fixed some things I have asked for, like correctly displaying RTL (right to left) languages, among other things.
    Doesn't Transiflex provide it's own widgets though, or can it be customised?
    Basically one can do anything with JS to the DOM, but we have been short of JS experts able to contribute.

    I think a good timeline is to try and get them enough information so that way our docs can start having translations of the most basic parts by the time 1.0 comes out!
    (or even better: JuliaCon? :smile: )

    I've got some ideas in mind, but since I don't personally have any need of it it's been at the back of the queue.
    I have also been very busy and a little sick lately, which is why I've added @ViralBShah and @nalimilan as project admins too.
    Note that we also need a solution for swapping out docstrings for a different set of translations at runtime

    Currently there is the PyCall based Gettext.jl thanks to @garrison, I've been wanting to port gettext.py to julia, for which I needed a tokenizer, now available thanks to @KristofferC.
    Ismael Venegas Castelló
    @Ismael-VC
    It shouldn't be too difficult to port, but sadly it has been in the back of my queue because of work. Anyway I'll try to move forward in this respect and see what I can do. If anyone else feels able to do this, please let me know.

    Now that there are many translators contributing, do you guys think a i18n project could be of interest for something like GSoC? I'd like to know specially from people that have experienced Julia's GSoC projects, or are currently participating, such as @ChrisRackauckas, who has a proyect with @miguelraz and @dpsanders :
    Christopher Rackauckas
    @ChrisRackauckas
    what would an i18n project consist of?
    Ismael Venegas Castelló
    @Ismael-VC
    I've offered my help to @miguelraz too, and I hope to learn how GSoC works, maybe by next GSoC we can have a i18n proyect if there is demand.
    Basically it would consist in developing the needed infrastructure and integrate the i18n processes into the doc systems for julia and it's package ecosystem.
    Currently this is all the support for i18n there is AFAIK in main julia:

    hi I've joined japanese members in transifex today, and tried making some translation. By the way I found the last review was done 10 months ago. Is japanese team active now?
