@InfoSec812 Per the K8s/Docker question above: you wanna talk about that at the upcoming KYOSS meeting?

@jsquyres Sorry for the slow response. I don't check Gitter very often (though I should!). We can certainly discuss the removal of Docker Engine from K8S if people are interested.
It's not that interested in the grand scheme of things because it really has almost no impact on anyone except those installing/configuring Kubernetes. Developers who use docker or publish containers or whatever, have no need to change anything.
Thanks for all the feedback on my question above about Docker. Sorry I missed the meeting last week as well as my lack of response to your responses. I'm making decent strides with Docker, Kubernetes, and some of the other technologies around containerization.
FYI, we have set up a placeholder web site at https://kyoss.dev/ until we (hopefully) are able to recover and re-instate the kyoss.org domain.

Note, too, that we lost the old mailing list. If you were on the old KYOSS discuss mailing list, we no longer have a way to contact you. We have a new mailing list (Google Group) -- please sign up here: https://groups.google.com/a/kyoss.dev/g/kyoss-discuss

So I tried the "Sign in with gitlab" method, apparently "oauth2" but from the warning i am concerned that gives this website readability to my private repositories on gitlab, or other stuff that isn't publicly accessible, or that it lets gitter modify — well, anything — on gitlab on my account?
which is why i prefer IRC, it's entirely unconnected from everything: for security.

if this works for folks, tho, all's good .

Can Wranglers and Conveners be made co-organizers of the Meet-Up group so we can post discussions? Part of my wranglin' duties entails soliciting presentations on both the mailing list and meet-up group. I figured the discussions area would be a good place to do that for the meet-up group.

Done! I added Josh and Ida. It doesn't look like William Lindley has a Meetup account.
Meeting went well, some new folks, thanks Joshua for getting things put together, thanks Deven et al for the pizza, to Ben and Liang for presentations of interest to all and good discussions.

Has anyone been to the Micro Center in (north) Cincinnati? I haven't been to a proper 'computer store' since I left Chicago (5 years ago) and one trip to Fry's in Phoenix (3 years ago just before they went pffft; the shelves were long bare).

Finally took a moment to look at that demo that Michael had mentioned (Area 5150) during the last meeting. I can't fully appreciate it, but if this is done on a factory IBM 5150, then that is pretty amazing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xJZ9I4iqg8

Hello KYOSS... looks like the last post here was August 2022. Is anyone reading this in January 2023?
