@Getron Those are packages not in the repo, but packages you compile yourself from KCP. Make sure you first understand how using PKGBUILD/makepkg works: https://kaosx.us/packaging-guide/ then read what KCP is about, how to use it with Octopi. Any depend a package needs from there, you need to compile first. And remember, all files there are NOT KaOS maintained, it is entirely up to you to check correctness of any. If you find an issue, open a bug report for such a package. http://kaos-community-packages.github.io/ https://kaosx.us/kcp-guide/ https://kaosx.us/kcp-guide/#Using_kcp_helper_package_or_Octopi

@Getron
@demmm Hi, ok, i have installed the NoMachine following the PKGBUILD infos there, it has worked, but, the systray icon is not showing.
and, for example, try to install the Syncthing, and you will see, the download link is not existant. I have tryed to modify the PCKBUILD, but, it is a pain to modify using vi, this text editor is horrible, nothing works like it should be. I click insert, to edit the text, and then, try to move up, down, the editor write letters... horrible editor.
Do i can modify somwhere manualy this PCKGBUILD from octopi? not with vi editor? for example, using my Kate editor?
demmm
@demmm
no need to use vi, you can set any editor you prefer in ~/.bashrc, or just edit the PKGUILD directly, before starting makepkg
but if there is an issue with syncthing you can't figure, open an issue in KCP for it
again, you have yaourt installed?
demmm
@demmm
Please read what KaOS is and what it is not, looks like you are on the complete wrong distro :)

@ElishaBentzi
Hi everybody, thanks for this great distro. The look is amazing !!
BONNAURE Olivier
@solisoft
Hi there, does someone was able to use docker with port forwarding?
ShalokShalom
@ShalokShalom
since nearly nobody seem to use this Gitter room and because this question is a very specific one, might it be senseful to ask this in the forum: https://forum.kaosx.us
@solisoft ^^
BONNAURE Olivier
@solisoft
Already done ;)

Harshdeep Kanhai
@harshdeepkanhai
ca anyone tell me how to embed clock and system monitor in wallpaper
demmm
@demmm
@harshdeepkanhai you mean using conky? Just install it, sudo pacman -Syu, sudo pacman -S conky and start 'conky' in krunner. You can adjust the look completely of conky by editing /etc/conky/conky.conf

@dhrac

@EQLucky_twitter
hi there!
demmm
@demmm
I'll start announcing here the usual KaOS news that has been posted on G+ the last 4-5 years. See if it does get any response (thus knowing anyone follows KaOS on gitter).
Cristian Fadón
@Israphel
lol, how does this work, like a chat?
Francisco Josué Morazán Arriola
@fjmorazan
@Israphel yes (sort of)
demmm
@demmm
@Israphel yes, plus a feed from all git commits for KaOS
Benjamin VAUDOUR
@bvaudour

@kiwidevv
May I be a mirror? I can't find anything on being a KaOS mirror
demmm
@demmm
@kiwidevv Of course :) New mirrors are much appreciated and needed. See this forum post for how to https://forum.kaosx.us/d/1354-hosting-in-czech-republic (this needs to be added to the KaOS Docs section https://kaosx.us/docs/)

@Israphel
anybody else here uses Virtualbox on kaos? because I always use the option "Save state" but if any upgrade happens, I have to discard the save state because it fails to resume
EQLucky
@EQLucky
@demmm great! It's true I should have opened an issue there on github. I'll do it next time.

Andreas Kostecka
@AnKosteck
Hey folks, is anyone using (flatpaked) Steam on KaOS? The reason I am asking is because my game downloads are ultra slow (<200KB/s), the Steam client itself updates with the full speed
demmm
@demmm
@AnKosteck Best ask in the forum. A few users have posted there about their experience using Flatpak-Steam on KaOS.
Andreas Kostecka
@AnKosteck
@demmm That I did :D
Jonathan Chevalier
@Monsieurzik
Hey there.
Is it our another place to share informations about our distro ?
demmm
@demmm
@Monsieurzik The forum is first and foremost the place to discuss this distribution. https://forum.kaosx.us/
Jonathan Chevalier
@Monsieurzik
@demmm Get it. Thanks.
