You're welcome! I'll let someone else do it as I never do things for the creds :p

Does anyone know how I can install Android Studio in Kaos?
@fabiantorresm If it does not have lib32 dependencies, then use https://kaosx.us/docs/package to create & install any package not in the KaOS repos.

@demmm telepathy-qt5 has support for python3 in master branch https://github.com/TelepathyIM/telepathy-qt/commits/master
demmm
@demmm
@mendez42 thanks, as you might have noticed, lots of rebuilds last few days to get rid of python2 (python3 has now moved to being default, build repo). Plan is to have next months ISO python2 free, so ktp/telepathy packages need to be possible to move to python3, otherwise no ktp on next ISO.
mendez42
@mendez42
telepathy-qt5 is probably the only part depends on python, from ktp/telepathy stack, more precisely from dbus-python?
mendez42
@mendez42
also mutagen is python3 ready
demmm
@demmm
@mendez42 For assciidoc, see my commit from 6 months ago KaOSx/core@044f317
@mendez42 mutagen is not the issue, libgpod needs to be ready to move to python3, only reason that mutagen is in the repo.
mendez42
@mendez42
I didn't know about libgpod. I agree that it was best to get rid of it.
demmm
@demmm
@mendez42 telepathy-qt5 is now build with python3 (github checkout), please report if you find any issues.
mendez42
@mendez42
thanks, starting to test
mendez42
@mendez42
@demmm tested ktp and kdeconnect, all good. my system is python2 free now, thanks
mendez42
@mendez42
@demmm can you please look at ktorrent? at every startup, the will that it did not find geoip, even when geoip is installed
mendez42
@mendez42
@demmm if you had time for 19.08.2, please look at some dependencies https://forum.kaosx.us/d/2428-some-cleaning-from-porting-aids-framworks-qtwebkit-tp-dependencies

@mendez42
@demmm think about stopping work on the 2019.10, because probably Qt 5.13.2 will be released on thursday https://lists.qt-project.org/pipermail/releasing/2019-October/002684.html
demmm
@demmm
@mendez42 I'm well aware of the Qt release schedule :), I follow this ML https://lists.qt-project.org/pipermail/releasing/, but whether Qt release a new bug fix in time has no bearing on the October ISO test cycle. That one is all about new systemd, new toolchain, python2 free, plasma 5.17. Those are tested now, after that, testing needed for linux 5.3.x.

the snapper KCP is broken. remove /doc as make target ## then ## /etc/makepkg.conf add: -pthread to CXXFLAGS=" … "
can I trust snapper not to screw my data still ?

@Monsieurzik
Hello @demmm , how do i do to have a fresher version of nextcloud-client on kcp ?
mendez42
@mendez42
@demmm Could you please do something with octopi? It leaves commands in .bash_history file. I can add a solution myself, but it would be better if it was done for everyone. https://forum.manjaro.org/t/manjaro-kde-18-0-4-bash-history-file-in-home-directory-autopopulates-with-commands-that-i-did-not-type-and-use/98773/9
demmm
@demmm
@mendez42 ah, finally know where those xterm commands come from, thanks for reporting, will try and fix.
demmm
@demmm
@mendez42 seems this patch fixes octopi KaOSx/apps@53cc596, please test too (up in build repo).

Regards. I am looking for a way to send a multimedia converter called MystiQ to the official KaOS repositories. It is a frontend for ffmpeg made on Qt5 mainly with C ++.
https://github.com/llamaret/MystiQ
demmm
@demmm
@llamaret KaOS has limited repositories and does not just add. Does MystiQ bring something extra that is not already available? Qwinff comes to mind. You are always free to add to KCP and if used there it will be a candidate to move to the repos
Maikel Llamaret Heredia
@llamaret
@demmm Greetings and thanks for the reply. QWinff was one of the projects that inspired us to create MystiQ Video Converter (in addition to others such as Ciano, Videomorph, Handbrake, Curlew and FF Multiconverter). QWinff does not seem to have an active development today. MystiQ includes some of the functionalities of QWinff but better adapting to the current development circumstances in Qt5. The interface is slightly cleaner and unlike QWinff, we have eliminated the dependence of MPlayer (for video preview), based exclusively on QT5-Multimedia. In addition to having an active development, MystiQ includes some features not present in QWinff or other current converters. We have refined (and are still fixing details) for the subtitle embedding, which was something that was pending in QWinFF. We include a lot of preconfigurations to take better advantage of FFMpeg, and the community constantly feeds us with new preconfiguration options. It is not (nor do we intend to be) the best multimedia converter of today but the development team is putting love to the project.
A question... How can I add content to KCP?
demmm
@demmm
@llamaret no need for KCP, your app is a good replacement for qwinff, will be added to KaOS
demmm
@demmm
@llamaret added KaOSx/apps@17e90a2
