I am not a pro but coding as my hubby. Recently started using Knawat app in Sweden and have noticed some points which may help further improvement of this platform. :)

The very first thing I noticed is that there is not an easy way to change my password!

And the second issue we are facing with is that we can not set our own currency exchange rates. That is why the prices in our local currency (SEK) show up very weird and the whole website looks like Chinese platform! :P
If I could set my own exchange rate to a round number, would highly impact the trust of users and increase my sales.

Hope someone will see this soon.
Cheers!

Hello @ahajiloo_twitter,
These are great notices We will work on soon but I want to explain to You an alternative way to achieve your needs.
First, You can associate your account with one of 3 options(Google- Facebook- Shopify) and You won't have the need to change your password again, or even write it.
Second, You can download a plugin/ module for changing the exchange rate and make it round-up on all of our supported platforms (Woocommerce- Shopify- Opencart- Magento2- eBay- Expandcart) and You will find it to your satisfaction.
Regards.

@hamusthekiller Thanks for writing back.
Since my account is for a company, different people have different type of access levels so the person using Knawat is not necessarily the one using Shopify and so on. So sometimes they can't even have or use the same credential.
About the plugin, besides it's extra costs, technically it is not possible! For example the only currency that my bank accepts and I have set on my payment gateways is SEK (Swedish Krona) so in Knawat, I have set my currency to SEK too. Now the problem is that Knawat syncs the prices with my store like 386.45 for $35.00 instead I would prefer it as 350.00.
As long as Knawat changes the currency and pushes it to my store, I need to have a manual override.
Hope it is more clear now. :)

@ahajiloo_twitter Hello,
for the store issue, if you are on pre-paid plans you can add up to 5 users per 1 store with different roles as you require and they can connect their accounts with one of the options I mentioned above. For the currency exchange rate issue, We will put it in the workflow process and discuss and apply a workaround as it differs from Country to Country.
Have a great weekend.
Regards.

@hamusthekiller Thanks for your reply and attention.
FYI. I recently found a shopify app called "Bold Currency Manager" which let's you define very interesting rules for product prices. I think you may get some ideas by looking through it.

When I thought through it, I realized it will be very hard for you to fix up prices for every type of currency so maybe it can work if you just make the option available for the customer and they set the rules in case it is needed.

Sorry if I am repeating myself but the problem in my region (EU) is that if a website has prices like 356.37, people never buy there since it looks like Aliexpress and Alibaba products. Instead if we find a way to show it as 350.00 or 360.00 instead, it is way more reliable and will boost the sales.

@ahajiloo_twitter Hello,
Thank You for the Shopify advice app I will take it into consideration and try it out.
I know your pain because We have multiple customers with the same issue but unfortunately We follow a worldwide standard and We have to abide it. We will try to figure a workaround in the upcoming future.
have a great day.

Hello, I am dealing with the api you provided for the suppliers, but when i want to create a product, I constantly get the error '422' and I don't understand why I got this error. I check the request I sent and I cannot see an error. Can you help me? Thank you

@ismailyuksl
Hello,
when making a new supplier through API You will have to wait until your supplier profile is accepted and then You can use your bearer auth token to add product, file with products and modify your setting.
Regards.
@ismailyuksl You can also use our platform supply.knawat.com and sign in with the account associated with your supplier and do all the actions You want to do instead of going through the complication of APIs. Have a great day.

Hello, i can get the categories with bearer auth token but why i can not post the product? What should i do? API is the ideal solution for our suppliers but thank you for your suggestion and your time. Regards.

@hamusthekiller
@ismailyuksl Hello again,
You can contact support@knawat.com and check with them if your supplier got activated or not then, you can use CRUD operations for products and many other features.
Have a great day.

@hamusthekiller
Hi @jaaouani-glitch,
First, You need to have an account on app.Knawat.com then add a store in this account. From store settings, You can access your consumer key and secret in the integration section of the settings and that will generate the token for your requests.
No, it isn't normal to have consumer key the same as consumer secret.
Have a great day.
Oussama Jaaouani
@jaaouani-glitch
Thank you @hamusthekiller, but I'm getting 401 response, even everything is well applied, is it authorised to connect from all ip's, because I'm connecting for insomnia API locally.

@jaaouani-glitch
Thank you all, apparently the integration keys doesn't work with sandbox endpoints
but in production
they do
Mohamed Elsayed Hussein
@hamusthekiller
Hello @jaaouani-glitch,
The keys You have are for the live app but if You want to use the sandbox, You can use dev.app.knawat.com but, please note that this is not a stable environment because We are constantly adding new features/ Fixing issues so it won't be a stable version for You. Our production sandbox is the stable version of Knawat, You can test it with any public API endpoints.
Have a great day.

Hello, I would like to link my prestashop 1.7 site with the Knawet catalog, how do you do it?
Mohamed Elsayed Hussein
@hamusthekiller
Hello @EASY_VFX_twitter,
Unfortunately, We don't support Prestashop in the time being but, You can make a store in Knawat dashboard and add your desired products to your store then, download them as CSV file and import them to your store but, You will have to make manual orders in your Knawat store for orders in your store.
Have a great day.

@EASY_VFX_twitter
Hello @hamusthekiller thank you for answer but can we do this by API? if yes, How? thank you

@hamusthekiller
Hello @EASY_VFX_twitter,
Yes, You can do it through API but, You will have to write your own integration.
Regards.
Hello @jaaouani-glitch,

Hello awesome people!

I couldn't help but notice that when I import the products with some out of stock variants into my Shopify store, only the available variants are being transferred by pushing them. This causes a problem because when later on the sold out variants come back to the stock, they never update in my store since they never existed there.
Also when synchronization takes place, it only updates the prices of in stock variants which makes my storefront show different prices for in stock and out of stock items for the same product.

Also I have a question which I couldn't find a solid answer for it via chat or tickets:
I need to translate the product names, description and etc. in Swedish for my local customers. I was wondering if they will reset to default by next synchronization or not?
That would be awesome if syncing only takes the SKUs and updates only the prices and inventory so we can adapt the rest of information to our local trends.

Wish you all the best. :)

Mohamed Elsayed Hussein
@hamusthekiller
Hello @EASY_VFX_twitter,
You will have to write a plugin or an extension that gets installed and activated e.g. when You make an order in your shop it should trigger our API create sales order using your store token, if You want to import products your plugin/ extension should trigger the get products API, etc. You can check our public API and choose what You need to integrate here: https://docs.knawat.io/
Have a great day.
Mohamed Elsayed Hussein
@hamusthekiller
Hello @ahajiloo_twitter,
For the first issue, We already opened a ticket to our dev team and They are working on it to get it to production as soon as possible.
For the second issue, can You provide us with an SKU of a product that meets that criteria to check it out because our sync does change all variants whether in-stock or out-of-stock if existed in your Shopify store?
For the third issue, our app syncs only price and stock so, You can translate the product with any language as You wish but note that You don't change the SKUs of either product or the variants of the products.
Have a great day.

Hi all, I have a question, I'm using the plugin knawat woocommerce dropshipping on wordpress. When I import products from Knawat to my store, all products go by default to the default category on wordpress. I created same category tree as Knawat and I thought there is a function in the plugin that will map the products to the relevant categories based on the product tags but that is not happening. I'm not sure if you came across a similar problem before. I also noticed that products are imported successfully but without tags (products published) and after few minutes tags are synced.
